    when I was younger (late 80's), and still training kyokushinkai, I saw a video of a sensei, trying the same thing with 8 bats, at bigger tournement, his problem was that all of the blocks was sstanding on soft kumitefloor, so everytime he tried his tameshewari, the floor gave in, as I recall he tried it to all 8 bats,, great pain, but greater humiliation 4 him.
