One day, they'll have a universal adapter. One adapter fits all. No need to carry one around. A charger fixed into the wall would be as common as an ordinary plug socket.

  1 to 5 milliwatts is the safe range for off the shelf laser pointers. Any higher and the retina could be damaged.
