      Unfortunately, no. Nickels, Dimes, and Quarters are all made of an alloy of nickel and copper. Copper does not react with hydrochloric acid, but nickel does. Nickels have the highest percent composition of nickel out of all the coins (25%), so I tried putting a nickel into the acid. However, because it is made of an alloy of nickel and copper, no reaction occurred.
