    Ireland out played Spain for the whole of that match but couldnt finish the Spanish off. I watched the game in an Irish pub in Spain and i went out for a pint later that night in a bar that was mostly used by Spanish locals and they said that they were so lucky that the match went to penalties because they wouldnt have won it other wise. 2010 World Cup is Ireland's year, WATCH THIS SPACE!

      that you couldnt finish them off sums up why you lost. Its not only because they were lucky, its because you didnt make the most out of the chances presented to you. I am not a fan of either team but one of the reasons I adore football is that it can be very very cruel sometimes.
