Land Cruiser Pancake

...are built to go offroad, by that i mean, they have real four wheel drive (not this 90percent frontdrive and 10 percent reardrive but 50-50). They have adjustable height of body and so on. That goes for all Toyota SUV:s. I think also that Lexus:s SUV has that kind of possibility, because Lexus is a part of Toyota. Short the history of Lexus. Somewhere in the middle or maby second part of the 90:s Toyota sopped make really luxurious cars, so Lexus was made, only for people with much money, or if i say it like this Lexus is to Toyota like Porsche is to Volkswagen, or Ferrari is for Fiat.

About the movie: You know what they should have done, first they should have taken an enormous SUV that smashes a smallcar, than they should have taken a monstertruck to smash the SUV and the smallcar ultimatly and last that last thing should have come and done pancake.

If you live in America, you must know most SUVs, particularily the more pricey ones, never leave the pavement.

Soo many SUVs (not just land cruisers) can be found chromed up, shiny, without a speck of dirt, some even with low profile (pavement only) tires in cities and surrounding suburbs. Most SUV owners certainly never go off road ...except maybe in snow storms and then frequently upside down.

Somehow I doubt that 85% to 90% of these aren't much more than glorified minivans for soccer-moms.

i go four weeling occasionaly and all i see in the mud are toyota tacoma, ford,chevy, occasionaly a dodge, but for the majority it is jeeps. land cruisers went the way of the hummer. way too expensive for the average joe.

I agree with NumeriX, about SUV:s maybe even never leve the asfalted roads. I can also say that most SUV:s aren't even built to go offroad. Take Volvos XC90, for an example. that car has four wheel drive, how ever, the most power is in the front wheels (90%of the power) and least power in the rearwheels (10%). Well, in some way, when the frontwheels lose its grip the power gets up (maximum) to 40% in the rearwheels. That, to me, isn't a real offroad car. A real offroad car has symetrical four wheel drive, which means it is the same power on all the wheels, at all times, no matter the grip. But it's right, not they either those go offroad that much.

So my question to the world: why buy one in the first place? You know it's, anyway, gonna drink all your money away (drink petrol), if you have any left after buying the car.
