    the guy who tackled Haaland (in blue, Man City) is none other than the greatest midfielder of his generation is Roy Keane ex-Manu utd and Republic of Ireland player. This incident came about when Haaland played for Leeds Utd and fouled Keane and done his cruciate ligament in which he was out for 6-8 months and utd didnt win the Premership that year and Haaland said to him get up u P***y and he was in some pain.

    Keane in he autobiography said "Even in the dressing room afterwards, I had no remorse. My attitude was, F**k him. What goes around comes around. He got his just rewards. He fucked me over and my attitude is an eye for an eye". Roy Keane is not like any other soccer player doesnt play for money he played to win and he was the heart of Manchester Utd winning team 1993-2005 as Sir Alex Ferguson said "Roy Keane was my greatest signing and my greatest player". Now Keane retired this summer due to hip damage from Celtic FC. Roy us Man utd, Celtic and ur country loves u and u will become one of the greatest managers in the future. If anyone has video clips of Keane post them up especially champions league semi-final in1999 against Juventis were he made Zidane and Davids look S**t .

      Don't get me wrong, I agree (to a certain extent) that Keane was one of the best players in the Premiership - if not the world for a five year span, but to say he doesn't play for money is ridiculous. Didn't his contract ensure that he was ALWAYS the highest paid player at Man U when he was there???? It's not as though he said, "Keep yer £100,000 a week Fergie. Just give £400 and I'll live in a terrace house down the road. I'm just happy to be playing pro football".

      Keano wasn't injured because Haaland tackeled him. I remember that game well, and Haaland had been wreking havoc down ManU's right side the entire game. Finally Keane lost it (again) and set out for a reckless tackle which backfired on him big time. Roy Keane was the one left on the ground and Haaland said that it served him right, and that he was only faking injury to avoid being booked for his ugly challenge.
      I'm a United-supporter myself but I just can't defend players who hold a grudge for incidents like this for 4-5 years. Especially when he brought it on himself. Keano was a great asset for many years, but the last two seasons he created more mayhem than magic. My opinion.

      Roy Keane is God? Haaland didn't foul Keane. Keane tried to foul Haaland and injured himself and put himself out for about 8 months. Of course he is the best midfielder of his generation but he should have been severely repramanded for ending Haaland's career. It was far worse than anything Bowyer has ever done on the pitch

      Keano(the mid-field player ever) did not end Haaland's career. It was his other leg that caused him to retire. BTW the revenge was for Haaland saying to God(Keano) get up you P***y after Keano was seriously hurt after the Elland Road incident. BTW Fowler is an 'has been'. He was a decent enough player for a couple of years until he couldn't stay away from McDonalds.LOL

    That was Roy Keane ending the career of Alfred Haaland. He did it because Haaland and himself was involved in a collision in a game the season before, which tore his knee ligaments.
    That is probably the worse 'tackle' ever seen and he was fined 300,000 pounds because of it.

    Roy keane was a decent player but dont be stickin up for him in this case, he was bang out of order...he wasnt gettin back at a 'bad' tackle earlier in the season, he tried to nail haaland the season before, pulled his own cruciate in the process and haaland 'sneered' at him (keanes words), and so he should have. keane tried to do him and badly injured himself, one season later keane wrecks the guys career for f*ck all, he then admits it in his autobiography and u dicks call him a legend...its not like he's a war hero or anythin, he did that for Man U against Blackburn in a pretty meaningless game, whats the point...?     It's keane's tackle on Haaland, who broke some bones. People say that tackle destroyed Haalands career as a footballer and Keane has later told that it was his intent to do that tackle - because Haaland earlier in the game tackled Keane quite rough.

      It wasn't actually because he had tackled him roughly earlier in the game, it was because of an earlier incident in a different match when Haaland had shouted abuse in Keane's ear while Keane was writhing in agony on the ground. I think this discussion is a bit wild, its either "I wish Keane was dead" (literally in some cases sadly) or Keane was right to try break his leg. Both are a bit extreme, I don't condone the tackle, it's terrible, but Keane did give Ireland, and the Premiership some of the best performances ever seen by a midfield player.
