The gun is called a MK44. I’m in the Navy and I work in the armory for my command. I love this gun. It’s a blast to shoot. Really high maintenance though. It runs on a battery which is another downfall if it gets wet. Every 10 rounds is a tracer, if you want to put how fast it shoots into perspective. When you shoot it’s just an orange line. Pretty awesome to watch. It’s not the fastest gun though. The CWIS (close in weapons system) a defense we use on our ships, shoots around 5000 rounds a minute. The CWIS also shoots a 20mm round with explosive tips compared to the 5.56.

You can get respect when you save someone yourself. Stop taking the credit for what others have down.

The gun on the A10 is a lot bigger than anything used by a guy on a chopper. The entire gun is 12ft long! Not exactly carry on.

As for anti-tank, true it can do some nice damage, but would be nice if they kept it pointed at the enemy.
