The Cage, Riverton Skatepark Inc. operated from 1991-1992 for a period 18 months. It was a collection of ramps on a disused tennis court. The parks logo and character was created and animated by me. Almost all the street ramps were built by me too. This video features old VHS footage taken from the park's official opening. There's no footage of me skating as I was always behind the camera. However many of the people featured are friends that I used to skate with. Aussie skaters may recognise early footage of pro skater Brett Margaritis who volunteered his time on several occasions to help promote the park and to give us something spectacular to film on the big vert ramp.
