Low cost project. In this video i show you how to transfer sound over light!!! Yes this is possible! I transfer a sound with distance of 5 meters. But you may experiment on greater distances.
That's a very cool experiment bud, five stars :)
By Rotagila 1207942479 Reply Spam [+4] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removeyea thats what they do with soneys sorround sound wireless system....they transfer sound throw lasers..
By sheryakahan 1207942429 Reply Spam [+2] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removeone of the best videos I have seen on metacafe. Ultra cool experiment! 5 stars! Looking forward to more videos from you.

By orosol 1258006010 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveWhat if I used a photoresistor instead of an opto-transistor. Will it still work
By rihim98 1223948005 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removebut do you think is there another way of transfering the sound ( the sound appears when breaking the laser beam, just like laser security system)

Nice video. Well done.
By Atomic Shrimp 1215077443 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removethis could be one way a terriost can communicate with others without broadcasting everywhere like radio signals. only the reciever the laser is pointing at can intercept the signal.
By lemmonhead 1208132443 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveYes. But have some problems. They can lose signal on rain, snow, fog etc.
By Napon 1208157086 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removecan the receiver be just a speaker? i mean connect opto transistor to the speaker jack?
By levronemaximus 1208094691 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveI try this with 6 Volt battery in serial with opto transistor and earphones. It`s work but sound is to low.
By Napon 1208349293 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveMaybe if you connect battery, serial with opto transistor and speaker. I will try and then i will tell you.
By Napon 1208097293 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveNotice at the end when he waves his hand over the chip, the sound of the lights around him, cuts in and out. Forgot what that's called, but that would be interesting is to build this at a portable and hear what sound different lights make.
By DaManFromNoWhere 1208067706 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removethe receiver is the opto transistor connected to where? speakers plug?
By levronemaximus 1208008434 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removereceiver is connected to microphone input on computer.
By Napon 1208021869 Reply Spam [+1] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveI'll try the next experiment to be as good or even better
Thanks again
...or does it look like he plugs that into the green (output) plug?
By projekt6 1207956345 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveIt's quite similar to this or is just me?

By Napon 1207960359 Reply Spam [-1] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removejust erase some space XD
By Dabito 1207951935 Reply Spam [-1] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removeso he does this experiment at school ;)
thanks for giving me an excuse for spending time with him :)
can we use a light depended resistor instead or opto transistor or opto resistor
By uarsalan 1208470190 Reply Spam [-1] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveI think yes. As i know light depended resistor is another name for opto resistor. Thanks
By Napon 1208498611 Reply Spam [-1] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveIs The Opto Resistor The Same As A Canmium Sulfidfe Photocell, If Thats The Case Then I Tried And It Wont Work I need Some Help
By kanaka2010 1208428009 Reply Spam [-1] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveI haven't tested with Cadmium Sulfide Photocell and i don't know what to tell you.I think that with photo transistor you can get the best resultat. Thanks
By Napon 1208431983 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveWhere Can I Find One?
By kanaka2010 1208432502 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveIn electronic store...
By Napon 1208434121 Reply Spam [-1] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removegreat video....
a jos bolja muzika gosn Napon ;)
Don't use mono jack, use stereo jack but only one connector, because if you use mono jack with stereo jack on your PC like on this video you can burn one audio chanel, because one chanle is short circuited. If you look closely mono and stereo jakc you will see what I mean.
