Low cost project. In this video i show you how to transfer sound over light!!! Yes this is possible! I transfer a sound with distance of 5 meters. But you may experiment on greater distances.

this could be one way a terriost can communicate with others without broadcasting everywhere like radio signals. only the reciever the laser is pointing at can intercept the signal.

  I try this with 6 Volt battery in serial with opto transistor and earphones. It`s work but sound is to low.

At The End
Notice at the end when he waves his hand over the chip, the sound of the lights around him, cuts in and out. Forgot what that's called, but that would be interesting is to build this at a portable and hear what sound different lights make.

Be careful
Don't use mono jack, use stereo jack but only one connector, because if you use mono jack with stereo jack on your PC like on this video you can burn one audio chanel, because one chanle is short circuited. If you look closely mono and stereo jakc you will see what I mean.
