Superman Returns - New Trailer

WHy didn't they use the actor who plays Superman in Smallville? Does anyone know if he was offer the part and declined or how it went down? I really liked him :D

I loved the old superman comics and movies growin up as a kid, and being that Christopher Reeves was the ALL TIME BEST Clark Kent / SuperMan... I don't he could ever be replaced.

But, since he has passed awayI kinda like the idea of the superman legacy being resurrected, with a new face... so, change is good for the soul, and the way the trailer looks... i'm sure its gonna be a big hit for the summer!

#1 dumbass there. Dont put Superman Returns if its the same old thing over and over. Annoying. These shows will gradually drop as the movies get the same repeats.

Judging by the trailer, it looks like a Superman REMAKE, and not a "Continuation" of the epic. I was hoping to see Superman / Clark in his late 50's and dealing with new personal and world problems. We all know the classic Superman story and it looks like this movie - which is the 5th Superman movie - revolves around the same old Part 1 and Part 2 story.

by making it 3D. and i would only watch this for the flying scene, which is prob less than 5 min of the whole movie. this will be a let down.

What I find funny about the new superman hype, is all the people who moan about the cape being the wrong shade of red, or the type of weave on his costume.

I think its gonna rock, and how is it a remake? I mean, its a comic therefore fare game as an original film, and Lex Luther is a villian in Superman so... its a remake because its another superman movie and its using a well known villian? Good god what has the film industry come to!?!?

i mean its already had its time of glory now they are just pumping the big succes...of course its gonna be a great movie and everything but it is never gonna be able to compete with harry potter and spiderman or lotr...but it has the record of the highest budget payed to a movie ever so its not gonna be a fiasco of course...
