    • one thing u can do against an armbar def...

      is to lean to the side close to the other guy's stomach.. then push ur legs down on his stomach and forehead it creates alot of pressure and itll probably do the job

      so whats supposed to be the position of my hands when I do that technique? and what do you mean by push my legs down on his stomach? shouldnt I squeeze my knees together instead while my ankles are locked in together???

    • ur outer

      hand needs to hold the arm ur doing the armbar on and to hold ur own suit, so that the arm that ur doing the armbar on is rapped around by ur hand thats holding the suit and ur body.. ur ankles are not supposed to be locked together but need to be seperated.. then u lean to the side towards ur opponents stomach, this should cause ur opponent to attempt to rise up on his but n then u need to press down with ur legs- one leg on the forehead and one leg on the stomach.. if u do it right it will create enough pressure to break ur opponets hold

      its kinda hard to explain u need to see it.. if u dont get it ill try posting it

      yah thanx for explainin, but i would appreciate it too if you could post it with pictures or with a video....

      yeah the technique that i do to counter the armbar defence is to push my opponents bicep with my foot, while my forarms are trying to pull his arms. the pushing action of my foot against his other arm's bicep, and the pulling action that i do with his arm that I'm trying to apply the armbar with, should break his grip and enable me to apply the armbar...

      so do train in bjj also other than judo? whats ur main discipline in grappling men?
