adorable , the dog is more gentle than a lot of people

Be very careful, any animal can suddenly turn (much like humans !!!)

nature can take over and you should be carefull!

I myself have a German Shepherd. She is very kind too but i NEVER would let her play with little children like this! I've just heard from too many "kind dogs", who just made a little mistake. And in the end it's bad for both. The Kind is injured and the Dog isn't any loger the "good Dog."

All fun and games till the dog makes a mistake and bites the kid. not kids fault not dogs fault owners fault. also great danes are not good dogs for kids they are a gret bread just not a kid dog

That dog was having fun and the baby was having fun. People are so freaked out now days about safety and parenting. Dogs don't randomly turn on people unless either they have been conditioned to do so or they are a naturally agressive breed. Let them play and back off!

why are you all saying that the child's mother is irresponsible.
you're forgetting the fact that this dog is actually the father of the child =D

There seems to be some out there who have spare children, be aware that the next child will not have a dog, it will have been put down. I agree that the video was beautiful but please, never take your eyes or attention off the dog, their mood can change in a flash. Several children are killed or maimed each year by "safe" family pets. I have had dogs and children, dogs and grandchildren with no problems but I have never taken their safety for granted

Give the animal some credit. They feel the energy .
There would have been a different reaction to the baby as it came up to the dog.
I wouldn't do this with any dog not raised in the family. or one who strange to the kid. Mom is right there. She knows her dog and her baby!

get a life lady that dog has no soul and not way of knowing right and wrong he only knows nature. and if that kid polks that dogs eye the dog will defend himself!! i am in detroit michigan and fighting dogs are outlawed here,and yes that is a fighting breed. we had 4 kids killed by the so called family pet that "wouldnt hurt anyone" a few years ago. so keep lieing to yourself at the exspence of your kids life or health. "that doggy is gentle he wouldnt hurt anyone" sure he is, sure he is, its you lie tell it any way you want!!

Why mom is so lazy about baby sitting, do you know that animal can harm little guies.Anyway Nowadays everything gona dogs!

No not all animals will turn. Great danes are know for there aility to look after children. It is together with the Labrador one of the animals of choise with smaal children. I am glad there is parents that still bring up their children with the love of animals and not a fear of them.

this is a great dane.. big dogs but puppies at heart! very doile and playful.. that kid is as safe as in his mom's lap

The acoustics on this are irritating. The baby screaming in a high pitch ( even though it is fun ) is hard to take and annoying. A sound filter would help- and music would help. Not all that funny. The size of the dog around a small baby is scary I would not trust the dog in this situation.
