The flame floats a few inches from my Zippo and lights a match on a ruler, and then goes right back down into the lighter.
P.S. I DON'T smoke, I just like playing with Zippos.

  Sometimes my Zippo has a flame that floats about 6 inches from the lighter. Normally it would just go out at the end, but I figured I would light a match on the way. It going back into the lighter was a bonus.
