Put it this way. When parents buy their kids the new Nintendo and realize their kids keep breaking controllers (nevermind the stronger armed adults) from throwing the gayest controller configuration I've ever seen across the room....I am lost for words. That is the worst thing EVER I have ever seen for a controller. If you look on their website, (if you can get through because the bandwidth or something is as poorly managed as the controller), you'll notice only adults trying out the system. I wanna see all those kids on Christmas day whipping that controller at the new plasma screen TV and breaking them both. Nintendo is now under the definition of moron!

Listen ok....I know what they're trying to do....but it's pretty much impossible to not have that thing flung across the room....I had no idea you could use standard controllers which seems to be a GREAT idea if you have kids or company....other than that the graphics look super.

I was a big Nintendo fan hardcore until Playstation came out only because Sony offered better adult games.

It seems Nintendo is getting back into the adult crowd which SHOULD lead to some awesome gaming experiences from all systems!

I was going to buy a wii but after seeing all these games it looks to me that wii is for chilldren up to 9. There is like one action game and the rest is only cartoon games.... Better of whit a PS3.

The new controller is leading the way. It picks up motion, distance, and angle, whilst also being a pointer. Sony have already tried to copy this by attempting to add motion sensors into their new controllers, which look extremely dissapointing. Plus if you are lazy and dont want a newer better experience, you can plug in your gamecube controller and use that instead.

The difference between Playstation and Nintendo, is that every time Nintendo releases new hardware, there is something new, a new dimension to the gaming experience. Sony however never comes up with new ideas. It is the same crap in a new box. For example, PSP vs DS. The psp didn't have anything new to it at all, but the DS had dual screens (duh) and a touchscreen, and thus making it unique and exciting. I bet you Sony-fans are going to say something like: "yeah, but playstation/psp has better graphics". So what? Who cares how superior the grapics are if the game itself is pure S**t ? That may be the reason why Nintendo didn't name it something like "Nintendo 64 - 2" or some dull name like that. Playstation one, PS2, PS3, PSP... wtf? PS3 dosen't even have a new idea of controlling the game, same old controller, but wireless. HOLY CRAP! Wireless!! OMG, but wireless stuff has been on the market for ages. Take wireless computermice, wireless keyboards, etc. Great job Sony, you have succeeded to fool lots of people to buy the same console one more time, and you didn't even bother to choose a new name. Somehow people can't see the obvious fraud.

Sony actually brought out the now common DVD and DVD-R (Came before DVD R) and HD DVD with the help of Phillips. They came out with the Blueray, which costs like 500$/disc right now. Thus the system can be your future Blueray player or HD DVD player. Maybe they kept the controller the same because they want to keep a particular image that the majority of people like. Another new thing that Sony will offer is downloadable games... XBOX 360 will later offer that too. Even though the PS3 will be at least $100 more than its competitors, well so was the PS2 but Sony still suffered a supply shortage.

People do care about games, and nintendo has always made the best ones. Sony just make the graphics as good as possible and expect it to make the game good. They just cram the shelves with as many games as possible, hoping that some will sell. But nintendo create the best games that keep you glued to the tv for hours. Zelda, Mario, Metroid. All sony have are sh!te immitaions live ratchet and clank, crash bandicoot racing. wtf are they. It will be far more fun to play red steel, with a gun and sword in your hand, that to play a 1st person shooter on ps3, with amazin graphics, and an analogue stick to move the crosshair. WOO, what great new idea that is.

honestly.. u need to play some of the games before posting about one system.. Nintendo DS is good and the graphics are great for a pocket system.. and well... at least nintendo did something good.. I'm still waiting for sony to release something good and original..

What does the size of the companies have to do with anything? Besides, you didn't really have any arguments on why to choose PS3 istead of Wii. Just because the games for nintendo doesen't have loads of violence and blood in them, doesen't it mean that the games are just for kids. Is it just kids that play Mario for example? No. The reason why nintendo changes controllers and gaming concepts isn't because the "older" versions controller sucked, it is because they want to add a new dimension to the console. Every Nintendo-console has a unique way of experiensing a game, the Gamecube, N64, DS, Gameboy, they don't need to have sequels, while the PS does. Who is still playing PS1, and thinking, wow, this still amuses me. PS1 went outdated when the PS2 came out.

PS3 is exactly the same as PS2 and PS1. Nothing, I really mean, NOTHING with the new console is news. Same old garbage...but this time with a wireless controller. Besides, the graphics of a Playstation Console will never be better than computer graphics, so playstation doesen't have anything unique at all.

- Same old games (but with new names)

So tell me, why choose PS3?

The PS3 is a not only a superior system for video gamers but it also functions as a HD DVD player as well as a Bluray player. Blu-ray disc players are $1000 today and each blank disc costs $500-$600. That alone makes the PS3 worth the high price. Tell me what's so revolutionary about the Wii... perhaps a S**t t y controller that funtions like a remote control? wii would have to priced at $199 to compete with the 2 big giants (Sony and Microsoft). The Wii can compete quite well with the PS2 now that it has wireless blutooth connectivity and online multiplayer gaming... WOW! SOOOO Revolutionary!

Nintendo is trying and i admit that in my early ages of gaming it was fun and i had great moments with nintendo but the more mature you become the more complex and difficult games you want...so if you want fun with your friends...ok maybe Wii if you want serious and challenging gaming enter the PS world.

nintendo is way ahead of the others. Same old controll pads that came out in the 80s. Nintendo introduced analogue sticks, all consoles stole it. Now they are introducing motion sensors, and no doubt, the others will steal it before to long. And its about gameplay not graPHics

They wanted to focus on experience and gameplay which has a far better effect on games than graphics. Pretty visuals are a nice thing to have, but if the game S**ks , there's no point. Plus, this way game development time will remain shorter and cheaper than Xbox and PS.

But its more like who needs a PS or Xbox when you have a PC.
