  • he actually placed it too

you kno whats interesting he plaed that shot up there like u can see it ... in so there is technique in baseball if something like this happened it would be luck... cuz the bat is round shaped and the bats really cannot position the ball... plus baseball can't even think about hitting this high!

    • Pathan power!

that is so muich power... did u see how high that went...woaw .....with a cricket bat .... that is porlly the hardest ever in baseball and cricket ...... especially the baseball people have a more advantages due to their fat bat...cricke tbats are like a slice of wood... that shows how much power he had to put into that.... plus look at him he is not even tired after that shot..this guy is a monster I tell ya! I remeber the commentators were once saying how this guy has the hardest handshake.... obviously he is from the pathan blood... .the crazy built people in Pakistan and India ....

    • have you ever

seen Micky Mantel play? Well me neither (he's dead!) but he's in the Guiness Book of World Records for the farthest hit ball in baseball history. It was hit over 550 feet and some people report it even being hit over 700 feet and out of the stadium.

And how is hitting a ball with a flat paddle harder than hitting with a baseball? Baseballs get thrown at 80-90 mph and some are balls are hit SO HARD that wooden baseball bats (the ones you call 'FAT') have BROKEN in HALF.
To prove me wrong that baseball is easier than cricket to hit a ball at, go out and get Nolan Ryan. Yeah hes dead but ressurect him and tell him to pitch for you. If you can HIT a ball going at 100 mph (100.9 being fastest pitch by Nolan Ryan and fastest pitch in history) then you'll have proved me wrong.

And that pitch was a strike, too. ;>)

    • everyones saying...

Huge hit! Amazing Hit! Amazing cricket hit!

Well in baseball players hit the F**king ball 400 feet every day.

Americans don't copy Euro-sports- we make them better.

AMERICAN football is a mans sport.

Sure as hell beats the S**t out of soccer, cricket and all other sports(including baseball).

Rugby is the only Euro sport ill play.

P.S. Take cricket's best players and then get Barry Bonds, Gary Sheffield, Jason Giambi (or 'Roids' as i like to call him), David Ortiz, Manny Ramirez, Sammy Sosa and then ressurect Babe Ruth (greatest baseball player of all time) and those players could beat the LIVING SH1T out of the ENTIRE FUKING CRICKET LEAGUE.

If ur british look up Jason Giambi, Barry Bonds and Dave Ortiz on internet- they could be Amer. football players they so jacked up.

    • Baseball History

If you look up on Google the history of American Baseball, you'll find out that Irish settlers in America first played rounders, and English settlers started playing cricket, and then they created baseball, which they played by setting up wooden traps with leather balls on them.
Then they'd hit the trap with a bat and the ball flew in the air, and then they'd try to hit it.

It's actually pretty cool. Started mainly in Boston from what I gather.

Irish settlers in America played Rounders (similar to cricket) and Rounders became the 'secondary sport' (more or less) in Boston.

Rounders was changed around and eventually called 'US Rounders' and then has gone under many changes over the 1800s.

American Baseball became popular in the early 1900s, but it was played a lot differently then modern-day baseball.

There were no gloves, and balls were pitched at 90 miles an hour (so catchers had to catch a ball at 90 mph bare-handed). And instead of bases metal poles were set up, and players could be 'pegged' with the ball (ball thrown at them) to get them out.

And if you don't know what Baseball pitching is it's when the (noted) 'Pitcher) throws the ball over home plate in an attempt to strike out the batter. Another player (on the pitcher's team) named the 'Catcher' had to catch the ball if the batter doesn't hit the ball.

And let it be noted that the best pitcher in US baseball history (my opinion), Nolan Ryan, pitched the fastest ball in US HISTORY at 100.9 miles per hour.

Now the game has many regulations and rules, foul lines on the fields, flate plates called 'bases', leather gloves to catch the 70-90 mph balls that are whizzing by in the game, helmets, two leagues (American and National league) and about 30 teams (if i counted correctly).

The New York Yankees have the most World Series (baseball championship) wins in Baseball and also have the three highest paid players in Baseball, currently.

If you an American you should already know this so don't bitch about it!

For an essay in my American Studies classes I made an 11 page report on the history of baseball.

      Its really cool stuff.

      Anyway Im done.

    • Jeff Thomson greatest velocity in histor...

Jeff Thomson bowling speed was recorded just once when he was in his prime. It was close to 100mph. This suggests that throughout his career he delivered the ball at over 105mph at stages. Nolan Ryans velocity was impressive but don't discredit hitting a cricket ball when it is legally allowed to be at the batsmans head. This intimidation wreaks havoc in many a mind whilst facing up.
