Kajal Sonali was born on the 16 th of August 1985 in Benares, Northindia. Her father Charly Wintermeyer has been going there since 1978 to study Indian classical music. From early childhood she showed keen interest in dance and music. Her father recognizing the talent of his 6 year old daughter.
