      played with their backup goalie and didnt have saviola or MESSI in there. no two start strikerrs. our star midfielder was subbed out and our other striker hernan crespo who plays for chelsea was subbed out too, when we were up 1-0. so basically we had nothing for the whole second half and germany FINALLY scored at the 80th minute. then they played defense the rest of the game knowing they could beat argentina in penalties with our backup goalie. And yes they scored on our back up. great job germany. what a way to win huh? how lucky..

      maradona was friggin awesome. but he was still in my opinion no pele. argentina is great, but brasil are better. they don't do well in the olympics, because they don't invest much money in olympic training. i have several friends from brasil, and they all say the same thing. and as far as the american cup, i don't know for sure, but i will go out on a limb and say they don't play their top guys in that one either. i heard that ronaldo missed almost all of the confederation cup last year, and might loose his starting position this year because of that. man, like i said, argentina is good, really good, but they don't compare to brasil. italy or germany comes closer. argentina is more in the league of england, and the brits are just one superstar (maradona) short of being on the same page as argentina. and like i said, maradona was bad, and i mean bad in a good way, but he isn't a class act like pele. i just read where he was in italy recently and he got his rolex's confiscated by the italian authorities because he owed something like $ 32 million due to unpaid taxes. what a looser. i guess he snorted that much blow in his days. in the words of the late rick james, "cocaine's a hell of a drug".
