  • Right!!

The amount you carved out of the bigger soap is probably equivalent to the smaller soap...thus this vid and experiment was a waste...literally

  • Better..

have the slot that goes thru the soap. once the smaller soap is thru the new soap, just bend the ends of it so it would stick to the new one. just a suggestion.

  • ehhh...

Anyone ever considered that old soap has like massive bacteria? You use it over and over and then this guy wants to reuse it...

It would be almost equal to reusing your spent toothpaste...

  • Stupidity!

If you are trying not to waste the left over soap, you don't need to have a hole in the new bar of soap. Just wet the old and the new bar and stick it on together.

    • stop wondering

you're taking a shower..reach for the soap and it's just a little sliver..a waste...you unwrap that new bar of soap with the slot..insert the sliver of old soap..done. it's not magic..just a way to use up the old soap without throwing it away.

    • But...

Ok, considering that you have a soap with a hole that you insert your old one... And that it would stay in there and not fall out... Once you use the soap with the hole, you would be stuck with the same piece as the soap you used before. I mean, you would just recycle a piece of soap you used 10 soaps ago! I dont want to be a negative nancy, but why keep a piece of soap that could potentialy be 10 years old?

    • i like the questions

the old soap would melt into the new soap slot. Like now i can take the old soap and stick it to the outside of a new bar of soap without a slot.
It sticks and eventually blends into the new bar of soap. With a slotted bar you just keep inserting the remainder(s) into a new slotted bar of soap.
I can picture a scenario where a person buys a new bar of soap and has no idea it has a slot. He unwraps the soap in the shower, sees the slot..goes 'uh?' Then sees the old soap and goes 'oh yeah!" and slides the old bar into the new bar.
Or you can just throw the old soap away and my idea blows or you're the kind of person that has these old soap remnants in your shower.. then my idea works.

  • thats what i was thinking

I guess you could make a hole in another bar of soap

By joltfreek 1209791772 Reply Spam Moderate Up Moderate Down
  • Listen

The soap would be manufactured with the slot built in. Each subsequent purchase of the slotted soap would be inserted as it wore down.

What do you do with your soap remnants?
