This video shows you muay thai vs teakwondo
First of all am the submitter of this video I saw it on internet and wanted to share it here
1-this is not the whole mach its highlights (just 3 knock down repeated) of a mach we are not sure who win the mach I can post a fight and put the 3 perfect moves for the loser and you will think that the looser won the match maybe the taekwond player lost the mach.
why the movie maker didn’t put the whole mach or at least put the knock out or the end of the match
2-And even if the taekwondo player was the winner , the taekwond player is from Korea and the thai boxer is from Korea, the real competition is taekwondo player from Korea and thai boxer from Thailand and see the result...
3- If you put 100 Thai boxers vs. 100 taekwondo player, 70 Thai boxer would win and 30 would loose. Maybe this one is from the 30 lol.
4-just a think every martial artist should know that if a thai boxer want to fight taekwondo player he should keep short distance if he fight boxer he should keep far distance so if he didn’t do that he will lose, and taekwondo player has to make the distance far between him and the boxer or the thai boxer because he is perfect in kicking.
This clip the Thai boxer keeps far distance and this is soooooooo wrong.
Search for thaekwondo vs. muay Thai on metacafé and the other clip the taekwondo player couldn’t keep far distance so he lost.
The most important thing in this competition is distance.
for example if a boxer fight taekwondo , if the boxer made the distance close the taekwondo player would lose the fight, because we all know that no one can kick with close distance, but if the taekwondo player kept the distance far the boxer wouldn’t be able to punch the taekwondo player. So the boxer would lose the fight.
But if the fight was thai boxer vs. taekwondo player and the taekwondo player kept the distance far the thai boxer would fight his way to make the distance closer because he can use his feet. The same thing if the thai boxer fights a boxer he would fight his way to make the distance farther (if the thai boxer was smart).
if you put 100 THAI muay Thai fighters vs 100 TKD.. 100 Thai will win..
By letsbehonest 1215011854 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveHaving performed many years of taekwondo and kickboxing(and boxing and wrestling) I can say with authority that kickboxing is far more effective at winning fights than taekwondo. The skill set required for Taekwondo requires more practice, but kickboxing focuses on fewer more powerfull and effective techniques . Where taekwondo spends alot of time perfecting complicated skills, kickboxing spends time developing brutal power in using less complicated techniques. Two fighters with equal experience in their respective art? I would give it to the kickboxer everytime.

thai kicks got more power than TKD kicks...when it comes with close quarters....thai knows how to deliver knees and elbows very well...unlike TkD. But im not saying that TKD is useless...we can still use them for hollywood with their fancy kicks and breaking firewood since its getting cold.

By thai kickboxer222 1150703749 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down Remove But I will add something myself. As a Thai boxer, I will say that any Tae Kwon Do students, former instructors and long-term practitioners that have come into our gym and brought their TKD into Muay Thai, they've all left here disappointed. TKD can be useful when it is applied properly. However, as far as its practical use, it has no purpose. TKD tournaments etc., get minus score points for attacking to the head, they don't aim for the head, so the ydrop their hands. BOOM!!! KNOCKOUT!!! Whereas in Muay Thai, we get knocked the fuck out if we drop ours.
Long distance and Short distance make no difference for us. We have weapons for both. Close range we have out punches yes, however do not forget that the heart of Muay Thai is our clinching game. Where we'll trap you with cutting elbows and devastating knees. A Sideways stance in TKD will only get your legs cut out from underneath you. I gurantee one swift leg cut and no TKD fighter will get up after it. All the fancy, telegraphing attacks of TKD make it way too readable.
A TKD fighter will use his heels and his toes and hit foot in general to palce his kicks. Also he lands his kicks in a mroe snapping motion. They train to bounce back into place after landing a shot, which reduces your attack strength and setup in a fight. Muay Thai fighters attack in their kicks with the shin. This is like a knife and much more devastating. One reason why it is considered the most lethal Martial Art. The Thai kick is used like a whip the leg is launched up and the hip rolls over, and is aimed to "cut throguh" the target. There is no stopping and springing back and w efollow through when miss to rapidly regain stance.
Absolutely let a Thai boxer from Thailand take one a TKD expert from ANYWHERE!!!!. In fact I'd advise take any TKD challenger in the world and have him take on Shawn Yarborough of Las Vegas, NV. One of the World Muay Thai Champions. With a record of 45-4-2. A training partner of mine and good friend. He's trained with Master Toddy, Master Chai Sirisute, and has outboxed Tito Ortiz in his trainig nregimines ot prepare Ortix for hsi UFC bouts. Many fighters have forfeited their matches to him, because of the brilliance in his fighting. Take the top TKD fighter and clash them. Thai will come out on top. 90% of the time.

By Choi baedal 1164683010 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveTae Kwon Do teachers (businessmen) have been charging people money to learn this "art". It is ineffective in real fights and does nothing but keep the teachers paid. They usually teach you forms in order to prevent lawsuits during sparring injuries. The worst misleading part about Tae Kwon Do is that they promote you to a "higher level" belt in order to give you a false sense of confidence which tells you alot about the "art". It may be effective in one way (fancy kicks and Tae Kwon Do school franchises) but it is obsolete in today's information age where you can learn almost anything (effective fighting techniques) on the internet.
By sir_komsyzd 1151501183 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removetea kwon do ist sport ....you dont learn tae kwon do to kick other peoples ass you should consider that
they are also sports, but they are practical as self defense techniques when they need to be. Forget Tae Kwon Do, yes it is a sport but it is impractical in a real life situation. You should consider that before you get your ass kicked.

By llsongahm 1154135131 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removesoccer players can kick just as hard; shi do kan practitioners train to break with their shins; Gung Fu practitioners, muay Thai kickboxers, my neighbor's grandmother can kick your head off too. Before martial arts became a franchise, they were usually passed down from father to son and to others close to the master. That's how Brazilian Jiu Jitsu was introduced to the Gracies. You don't need to pay for something to claim it as the greatest.
By sir_komsyzd 1154255881 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveIn these days you pay for all..not only in Taekwondo...if you want to learn something you must pay for it...that thing "master teaching student for free" is only in the films...gyms have a monthly rent, belts custs money, material for training cust money. In my class, and i´m a student not a teacher, when you reach red belt, we pay the same and you have the double of hours per week if we want. Ok...a soccer player can kick just as hard...he is a trained atlete also...but he don´t has the technique...and Taekwondo is not only kicks, many people think this because they see olimpic Taekwondo (WTF) in media, objective is make points, but you have other styles of Taekwndo, like Songahm style, people from USA knows it well, we have a lot of diferent atacks, by hands, knees, elbow, head. Long live Songahm Taekwondo!
By llsongahm 1154273694 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removeyou don't have to pay to get good training. You don't have to pay to become a champion. Some of the best fighters came from broken down gyms to rise up and become champions. You pay because you don't know that sincerity can't be bought. When a master teaches you for free, he or she is handing down knowledge to a chosen student and not to the highest payer. Training with the right knowledge won't guarantee a champion unless that student is dedicated and willing to honor a master's dedication. After all that, you don't have to pay for gratitude. I bet you never were a chosen one therefore you will always pay....
By sir_komsyzd 1157463471 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveThey don't promote you to higher belt, unless you reach a greater skill, like any martial artist knows. By sir_komsyzd 1154255562 Reply Spam [-1] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveIn order to compete in the best MMA organizations like PRIDE you have to be well versed in multiple styles and techniques.
You need to be able to exchange punches standing, but also have good takedown
"exchange punchs" is the worst term any1 can EVER use, if ur god at martial arts you dont exchange, you hit them hard as you can and never let them hit you, thats what i hate about boxing/kickboxing, ur supposed to curl up and take the hits, and wait ur turn lol, i quit that after 1 week.
When im in a tournement i like to use hard high kicks as counters and ranged moves, and when im in close, i use punches, elbows, and palm strikes to hit vitals and pressure points. Then the opponent either starts kicking and punching trying to take me down first most of the time, THEN is the time to use jujitsu, just grab an arm or leg while they are attacking and get a good lock
the conclusion is.... the smartest fighter wins! no style is bad, everyone has got his own advantages!!! but after years of martial arts, and 2 black belts, i can say tha the most effective (if one is a master) martial art (both, in the street or in competition against other ones) is Capoeira... but the problem is , its hard to master and there are not anymore real fighters that practise it like back in the days...!
By akvan 1149853353 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveEvery time someone posts a video with martial arts someone has 10000 black belts and 20 years of experience and blah blah blah. You just got done saying that every style is equal yet speak of the superiority of Capoeira. How can a fighting style in which contact is not emphasised beat a sport where contact IS? That's like asking baseball players to skate down to first base after having them practice sprinting. The skill set and the tolerance to concussive force is not developed in the Roda. MMA fighters WOULD cross train in the style if it yielded results in a ring. Capoeira is a fantastic way to enrich your life culturally and physically, yet being the definitive contact martial art...it is not.

what the hell are you babbling about. you just go on and on. I'll make it simple for you. It's not the style that matters. It's who is fighting who. That was an entertaining clip though. By SuperiorMusician 1151455695 Reply Spam [+3] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveA lot of your points were true but some things were mere estimates. Your 3rd point was mainly unfair. How do u know 70 would win? your a thai boxer and thats ur opinion. You said urself that its the distance or the way they fight. What if those fighters weren't given the chance to get close? they would get thrashed. Also the level of fighters make a big difference. In this clip the tkd person was obviously more skilled than the thai boxer and that was the main outcome. Also what if that thai boxer in the 100 from thailand didn't know to get close for tkd. By muaythairules 1157472762 Reply Spam [+3] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveThat's a Korean guy dress like Thai fighter. He's even wearing shorts with thai print. come on!
This guy looks like he had a few months training in Muay Thai going against a black belt in Taekwondo. Not even a fair matchup. The skill levels are too far apart.
I've trained in Muay Thai. They attack moving forward constantly striking trying to break the opponent. No foot jab, leg blocks, or flying knees in the clip.
This guy does a weak low kick then starts backing up like a wus. Afraid he going to get hit. Can you say hand picked setup.
Looks like a setup to me as well. I've never seen a traditional Thai boxer in his shape. I have noticed that Thai fighters are much leaner and very rigid. Clearly this guy had too much bulk and had no business being in the ring.
The blackbelt had his face wide open on several occasions which even further confirms that it was a setup. Any real Thai fighter could have ended that fight as soon as his face was open like that.
I'm 4th Dan black in Taekwondo and to be honest, I would never even sign the contract against a traditional Thai boxer. I could just see it now. He clinches my head and caves my whole face in with blood pouring out everywhere.
Sure I'm still dangerous at my level; however I have made a pact with myself to not cause others harm as much as I used to anyhow.
Just recently, I have been practicing Chi Kung which has a very positive effect on my well being. Since doing this art I have never slept better.
It seems to have fixed my back and on top of that my heart. Due to various legal substance abuses, such as nicotine and alcohol my heart became very weak. Now, I am breathing much easier because most of the stress is gone and my body is now taking over in the healing process.
Sure, the Thai guy was very unskilled, but that doesn't mean if the taekwondoer was fighting a skilled opponent he would lose.
He would just have to change his entire strategy; though this is only the highlights, I didn't see any moments when the taekwondoer had to go on the defensive. If he had then surely he would have used counter-attacks much more - rotating kicks can be deadly if done well enough, they also prevent your opponent from being able to stay in range.
Finally, the taekwondo player showed some nice skill. If you watch the last kick, the placement of the his left leg limited his opponent's mobility and access to his open side.
he is not Thai.
Why dont we get a European dude to pretend that he is Korean and practice TKD.. could you tell the difference?
that he showed some skill and the kicks that he threw were very artistic. However, I still think that a Tai boxer on his skill level or even a little less would dominate him.
By SuperiorMusician 1158732966 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removethat before each kick that he throws you can see about 2 seconds of lower body movement. If he gets attacked within that time frame he could get seriously hurt.
I also watched his head movement and it appeared that he just focused on his opponents eyes maybe to cause intimidation and to keep his opponents focus on his eyes and not his feet so that he could execute those very pretty kicks.
If you want more proof of this technique just watch some Mike Tysons greatist fights. He employs the same technique while throwing his left hooks and uppercuts.
90 percent of fighters watch eyes, the other ten percent watch the chest, only a moron watches each limb.

in the ribs lol. Your talking about street fighting. As you can clearly see, these guys are in what is called a ring. Just thought i'd clear that up for you and no this is not UFC. In a street fight you might catch the TaeKwondo guy if he's dumb enough to kick high. Beware of the Thai fighter though while he separates your kidneys from your back.
So far I have had much success in defending kicks. Most of the time I just use a check/block and to execute it properly you need to use his own momentum to break his own leg. This happens when he throws a roundhouse or sidekick if you can side step him. When you hear that crackety snap snap crack it is fucking sweet:) Thats how i describe it lol.
but i dont trust you..
have you watched Tom Yum Goong
Thai legs are iron hard..
Korean legs can be compared with basically anything that is softer then silk.
dood..seriously.. think about it.. TKD sux... it's just for show...
TKD sux for close distance.. they are unable to kick.. they'd get their ass whoop with 1 hard ass elbow to the face...
i respect TKD but when it comes down to real fighting.. Muay thai owns TKD like shit..
*and plus.. muay thai kicks have way more powerful kicks than TKD...
Ok I can see that reality has escaped most on this forum. To the guy saying he could kick someones head off with one blow, grow up, and welcome to reality.
As far as Tae kwon do verus mauy thai or any kickboxing for that matter, its a simpe matter of movement, a thai boxer learns to kick for power, a korean looks to kick for "points" and speed. the korean has no hand attacks that are worth anything at all, thai fighters although not known for jabbing (in thailand) in the us its very popular and effective, in thailand elbows rull the roost, and will make short work of anyone not knowing how to properly defend against them ,wich a korean fighter does not know.
I kickboxed, one trick we used to like to do to karate fighers, was simply to wait untell they kick and kick there shins, our shins are constantly conditioned theres are not, 99 percent of the time they would drop to there knees in pain. just that simple, the fight was rigged, obviously the thai fighter had no experience at all, to credit the korean fighter, he did very well in what he knew to do. to the guy who said black belt versus novice, in kickboxing it doesnt matter, as you only use basic kicks and punches. Some use more, wich is fine, but experience in the ring is all that really matters.
if you doubt the versus, simply look at what most people are training in for NHB competition, for standup, its boxing and thai boxing.
You right.I TKD(ITF).They haven´t chance.

i just a clip and maybe a taiwanese coach trained the muai thai

Dont say all that stuff as if it is hard fact, all that is just your opinion. IN MY OPINION a taekwondo competitor would win most the time. Obviously i mean where the fight is between 2 evenly matched people. Many thai boxers neglect the fact that taekwondo practitioners can kick at short range, and at long range, as long as they apply the right technique/ kick. For instance, if the thai boxer moved in close to his taekwondo opponent, all the taekwondo fighter would have to do is something like a jumping-away back side kick, or just chamber their leg and do a simple kick. This would not only hit the opponent, but it would also knock them away for easier-to-do long range kicks.
Again as i said, this is only my opinion, i respect thai boxers, and believe they are great fighters, but i beleive a taekwondo student would usually beat them.
Finaly, i would just like to say how it doesnt matter what martial art a person studies, or even if they dont, in a fight, it comes down to the who the person is, not nessicarily what belt they are.
Yes its true that it seems only high lights were shown in the vid. However person above seems to be thinking that Muay Thai is utterly above any other martial arts including TKD. 100 vs 100 is something that cannot be certain.. even 1 v 1.. thers no way of saying which art is much greater.. Every art has its goods and improvements it can make and its own style. The way the user uses it and his/her decisions will win the battle. Also although its true that kicking is more advantagious in long range battles, it is not always true. In TKD they obviously realize this and they do teach short distance kicking which prove to be efficient as much as any other way of fighting. If u know martial arts u will know.. in Conclusion.. no art is better than the other, its all about the one who uses the art that make it gracefull and at the same time powerfull.
By ministarr 1158806936 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveWhen an old Japanes martialart teacher was asked that question his answer was: There are many ways to go up to the top of the mountain...
By Bcnbartender 1150821720 Reply Spam [+5] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveI know there are many ways up the mountain. But I'll bet there are faster and better ways than others. Sorry but I hate stupid statements like that. I guess another way to look at it. Are you telling me that ALL martial arts are equal. If that seems like a false statement then there must be really really good one. Maybe even a better one if not a BEST martial art. Oh and besides maybe that Jap Teacher was drunk. Or maybe he didn't want to let all the round eyes know the answer. Who knows.
By rtwarman 1156386622 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveThe teacher was Moriei Ueshiba, master of many martial arts, fighter in the japanesse army (so he actually used for killing and not in tournament) and foundator of Aikido (after being sick of so much death and pain)
You are probably wiser than him and know which martial art is best but i don't know. I know there is people really good in their martial arts and i think the best is a combination of many, but as i said...
Teoricaly karate and kick box are mor complete than just boxing since they can use fists and legs but i have a friend (well he is not my best friend but i know him) that usually gets in fights and some of the people who got is trouble with him did those sports and he knock the out any way... so is boxing better? I think the person is better and the martiall art is only a way up to the mountain Fujimori. Many people say Aikido is B.S. but i've never see anybody dominating my Sensei and he is 60yo 7th dan aikido 6th dan iaido.
You should not take the metaphores literally and try to understand the meaning of them.
On the other side you should and can do whatever you please so be my gest... :-)
That's fact..!!! all martial art is the best by itseft which will depending on each fighter who deeply train or not.
By jinnyjung 1155780324 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down Remove That was an ordenary muay thai fighter vs an ordenary taekwondo guy. And the muai thai deserved to get it.
It was no set-up! You can all see the koreean's kick simply smashing the thai fighter's face. You can fake in movie scene(wich takes time), but not in a ring fight.
dudes as ‎kakaonkaka, ‎rtw and especialy wetwerftg - who typed that earlyer have no knoledge in martial arts. Plus, they only know anger and vanity. There is no "greatest marial arts" you immature kids. I saw on my city streets, fights in wich thai-boxers allmost got killed by taekwondo fighters.
So grow up all of you, and accept all facts !
There is no stupid martial arts, only stupid fighters (just like the ones that post above)
1. Thai guys dont have that small korean eyes and not that white
no doubt about it... the muay thai fighter is far worst than anything i've seen... he doesn't even block the way thai fighters do... he look more like a tae kwan do fighter in a muay thai outfit.... He actually blocks the same stupid way tae kwan do blocks by lowering your arms in a useless defense.... This is by far the WORST thai fighter in the world hahaha... a real shame...
One real thai fighter would have blocked any kick with the knees and shin and afterwards blowing a devastating low kick...
THis is B.S.
ive never seen taekwondo beat another martial art before here in england its a bit of a tacky sport you get your black belt for the kata not your speed and power so i never studied it although i practised the kicks as they are awesome.ive also done thai boxing now this is a very powerful art and by rights a taekwondo black belt would have his head kicked in by a thai boxing black belt just for the pure fact of how they practise thai boxers spa so they are used to taking punches and kicks where as in taekwondo they where pads so there a little softer but try combining both arts

I have been involved in martial arts sinse i was 7. I have been taking part in tournaments sinse i was 11. Let me tell you, style has nothing at all to do with how well you can defend yourself. I am not a black belt in any martial art, but have trained in Karate (Blue Stripe), Kung-Fu (Long Fist), Jujutsu (Green Belt), and ameture wrestling (Two-time regional champ *brag brag*), and competed in black belt tournaments. I have won and lost my share, and let me tell you, a striker trained in Taekwondo can kick as hard as a grappler trained in Judo. It's all dependant on personal ability, technique, dedication, and versatility. Believe when i say that no one martial art is superior to another.
There is, however, a common steriotype about Taekwondo being a joke. Many feel it's practitioners are inferior to even similar artists, like those of Karate. this is because everyone and his dog has a Taekwondo studio nowadays. You need to flesh out a good Sensei or all the cash you waste is pointless. A well trained Taekwondo artist is as deadly as a Kung Fu Dragon (Black belt equivalent to generic kung fu [there are hundreds of variants])

with all due respects to TKD, I have to say that the Kickboxer was not a very good fighter to represent MuayThai...he was letting the TKD guy do his fancy kicks. I have reasons to believe that he didnt train in MuayThai but most probably Kyuk too ki which is a Korean kickboxing style... nontheless, even a kyuk too ki fighter should not do the same mistake when up against a TKD fighter...
he should have fought close range using elbows and knees to disallow the TKD guy to do fancy kicks...
I did both TKD and MuayThai and I like it both but my heart belongs to MuayThai...

By wanlu88 1154438229 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveThat a real THAI fighter (as "thai fighter" well knows), will dominate a TKD PLAYER due to the differences in training, and utilization of power. I have briefly spard full contact using only low leg kicks inside and out with TKD players and finished them off quicker than say my grappling partner, with only those techniques. I found that my opponents did not feel comfortable being forced into defensive positions. However, they were very comfortable attacking a static opponent. It is common fact that TKD does lack efficiency in real life altercations due to the limitations of there style of sport. No offence to any, but TKD is a 'sport', and the aim of the game is GET POINTS, not to K.O, incompacitate, or finish your opponents. This clip just shows a fraction of the whole, and all you see is a static T/boxer recieving feet. Anybody see the dutch thai champ against the korean in Holland years ago? That clip says it all on this subject. If you have doubts, formaly challenge someone at your local. Im sure they will be very accomidating as I have found.

By karlmyers 1200457343 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveAs a practitioner to Muai Thai , Taekwondo , Savate , Sanda and JUdo, I can state that it is the fighter capacity that can determine his position in a fight and no a specific martial art discipline.
Most of the clips shown on the web between TKD and Muai Thai are a part of the non-ending war between the fans of each sport. I have noticed that thses matches are not held between native players- korean TKD fighter and Thai boxer- which means no competitiveness is to take place.
not the style that wins the fight...it is the fighter....so stop arguing, you guys just have to admit, there is no better art, just the better fighter...

Take the essence of many styles and take what flows natural to you. There is not one superior fighting system. The fighting system is just the way. Fighting is from within. Find the middle between your rage and harmony when you find it let it loose, and of course train smart.

Please remember that there are no mystical or supernatural facets to martial arts and that with the limited form of the human body, there are only so many different ways you can kick and punch. Bruce Lee understood this and took the best out of all fighting forms to create his own, one that would adapt to any given situation and not be restricted by traditional movements, stances, etc. I am chinese but my favourite art is boxing and wrestling (something that can actually be realistically applied on the streets), but still, I have nothing but respect for all fighting forms and have studied some of the above myself.

muay thai > tae kwon do
the muay thai guy wasn't even fighting back... wtf
Taekwando is a great sport but it is very much
a flashy kicking martial art.
Muay Thai is an all round kick ass martial art and not many Taekwando guys would beat a top Muay Thai fighter from Thailand
No disrespect to Taekwondo some of those guys will give you a bad day.
i dunno what technique this guy thinks he's using but he sucks big time, that's for sure
you're supposed to defend from a kick to the body with your shins and block a kick to the head with your elbows / forearms..this guy is just letting thye other dude kick his ass,
taekwondo doesnt stand a chance against any decent muay thai figter
that was s-ck, that 'is not real muay thai. Thay both look like japenese. that is not real muay thai for sure. s-ck !
By K3I 1150616740 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removecuz i saw it on the local tv in korea. and there is no doubt the whom beated by tak won do, the muay thai guy is not skilled(he's korean) and if u got involved with street fight. the best way you against the opponent is the arm breaker and DDT but against two or more? tak won do does. why? think.
the tak won do in the North Korea. they developed the marshal art to kill the opponent in the battle field without gun pouder.
By my Id is real one 1150651139 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removehaha that muai thai guy sucked, tell that taekwondo guy to go agaisnt a real muai thai master. hell get owned
By kakaonkaka 1147629953 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveI agree with you rofl:). Those guys don't know what the real mauy Thai is..
By Hey, 1159300022 Reply Spam [+3] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveUsed striking art in all the world. UFC, Pride, Superbrawl. Because its so damn deadly. All these TKD asshoels talk abotu breaking out legs. You motherfuckers, train with shinguards while we beat rock hard pads, and spar for years and years. Most thai fighters has lsot nerve sensation i nthe shins. You could slam him in the leg with a bat and he'd prolly feel it slightly lol. Our shins are rocks and so are our elbows and knees. Ever hear that question.... "What happens when and unstoppable force meets and immovable object?" Its mroe like what happens when a knife-like leg with crazy PSI cuts into your TKD thigh? Game over. People are too proud. Everyoen needs to keep in mind no matetr the skill, no matter the experience or the art. Anybody can kick anybodys ass on any given day. All depends of weight, size, element of surprise, and yes skill and expereince/art. A Kung Fu master could get bludgeoned by a taxi driver. The odds may be extremely low, but it can happen.
By Melee_Monkey 1164778778 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveWell u can say that...but for a real martial artist like me every style has its own ability..Who said tkd isnt effectiv in real???I even save my gf from gangsters by tkd yknow
By Choi baedal 1164683503 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveDid those gangsters have guns? Tha twould have a been a different stories...AND tha twould have made them REAL gangsters. I can kick 3 peoples ass at once not using Muay Thai and that doesn't mean shit. TKD can be effective, its just not as effective as mroe practical things. Do a spinning tornado kick at a 300lb thug and see what he does about it.
By Melee_Monkey 1164779055 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removegood acting ill take you down like shit... your iro legs vs. titanium leg your shit hole bitch... muy tai is nothing but a stupid martial art.... i can take you down anytime.. probably you beat three or 4 korean because they didnt know any martial art.. and you know what not all korean learned taek won do.. so stfu..

By superskunk x 1152879685 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removeu sucks!!
street fighter rules!!:D
Akido isnt even classifiable as a art, it just sucks period. TaeQuanDo is completely dependant on the user i doubt their both evenly matched. The Muay Thai user looks as though hes a retard humping a door knob. Ive seen better heh. But yea TaeQuanDo is pretty good, Hapkido is the worst form in existance today, my sensai has taught for about 20 years and ive watched him slaughter so called 'akido'. I agree with the guy saying these are the highlights, nothing to base a full judgement on though.
^_^
I am just astounded about how ignorant people can be about martial arts. If you claim to "study" a martial art how can you be this ill informed? Do you always study things you have interest in so poorly?
Rather than take someone else's jaded opinion of a martial art and its effectiveness go find out for yourself. Better yet challenge a master in said art. If Aikido, for example, is so worthless then you should have no problem "slaughtering" them. Also if think that the point of martial arts is to fight and compare physical prowess you are studying it for a very very wrong reason.
Bet you that mui thai fighter wants to learn Tae Kwon Do now.
