I think it is more likely that I have a lighter on me then a 2-liter bottle.

But if I am ever stranded with a bottle of something I know what to do.

  Chuck Noland could make his escape because he found part of an outhouse to use as a sail... not to mention all the other resources from the boxes that washed ashore. Although it's fiction, it sure becomes tangible as we watch his creativity.
