  • Not a BMW V8!

    This is not powered by a BMW V8. It is powered by a 650hp 2.5L Judd V8 and revs to approx 10,500rpm. Absolutley insane!

    That is either the shortest stroke v8 I have ever heard, or not a v8 at all. there is even an inline engine crank bounce sound trying to get into rpms.
    90 degree racing v8s only do that at very slow rpms. The one in vid was very wound at all times!

    This car has a 3397cc v8 that produces ~550hp @ 10200rpm
    The engine is built by JUDD and is called "Judd KV 675"

    The car itself is based on a 1990 E36 BMW 320 so not i m3.

      I didn't get the displacement right, I was going off the site I got the video from a while ago. And the chassis are the same on all E36... do YOUR homework. I don't care what its based off, nothing BMW is left on it.

      Skylines are dumb.. I'm tired of them... everyone wants one and they are WAY over appreciated. They are big and handle like crap. Japan is just running out of cars to play with so they default to NSXs and GTRs... boring, even with 1k bmp... whatever that is. Eventually people will realize that all car companies can do things well. BMW is a very well rounded company with a rich history in racing and many firsts in the indusry. The skyline is only a decent handling car because of its nifty AWD system, nothing else is special about it. Anyway. Stop trying to find things that are better than a bimmer, they're out there, but a skyline isn't it.

    I must say, i am amused by how little many of you guys know about cars.... first of all, the car can not be a 1990 320 e36, because the first e36 to be made/sold was in 1991,,, secondly, the cahssis of a 320 and an M3 is exactly the same..thirdly, there has been 3 series like this produced using a V8 engine...fourth, the E46 M3 has 343 HP (not BHP), form a 3,2 L inline 6 engine.. the new three series will have a v8, producing over 400 HP.. fifith, the new M5 and M6 use the same engine, an NA 5,0L V10 engine, producing 507 HP,,when it comes to the 911 GT3, it got its but kicked by an E46 M3 in Top Gear in England...and experienced race drivers, such as Tommy Rustad says that an M3 is far better than a 911 on a racetrack..the new M5 beats most ferraris, but with a few exceptions..

    about the "passing cars withiut indicating.." i might do that myself, because in this country (norway) there are loads of morons that wont let you pass when on a country road.. so if they dont know ur coming, and you just pick up loads of speed, you can safely be past them before they can know anything, thereby not harm you... and by the way, im no rich kid, i just know how to do excessive maintanance on my car, which is a must if ur not rich and own an old BMW..
