Best known for his role as Ari Gold on HBO's "Entourage," Jeremy Piven will step foot on the Broadway boards in a revival of the David Mamet classic Speed the Plow. Piven will play the role of film producer Bobby Gould. Speed the Plow will open at a yet to be determined theatre on Oct. 23.

Big news from the camp of Billy Elliot, the Musical.The role of Billy Elliot goes to...Three young boys, who will alternate roles. All accomplished dancers, the boys are Kiril Kulish, David Alvarez, and Trent Kowalik. The first Broadway preview will take place Oct. 1st at the Imperial Theatre. Billy Elliot: The Musical opens officially Nov. 13

The Drama League Awards, which honors loads of performers and plays, "pays tribute to the season's best performers by honoring the nominees of The Distinguished Performance Award on a dais." The 74th Annual Drama League Awards will feature dozens of performers from the 2007-08 Broadway and Off-Broadway season. The list is too long to print but but the nominees do include, Laura Benanti, Hank Azaria, Angela Lansbury, Chazz Palminteri. However, on May 16th, only one of these performers will be presented with the Distinguished Performance Award.
