Its a cardboard box that goes through different chord progressions and plays random notes from them. There is also a servo that thumps the side of the box with the beat.

      To answer your first question, it is one PIC outputting 5 square waves and 3 servo signals on PORTC (8 bits). It could be modified to use ports A and B for even more notes.

      Yes, it doesn't stop until you unplug it.
