I was really impressed when I first saw this in Mexico, then I realized people do this all over, and it's always the same style. My friend just got one for his game room. The pictures are like, 14-20 bucks and they're the same few pictures over and over.

you dont know how great it feels to hear words of appreciation. i dont think ive heard even my own parents say anything like that about art which is sad, haha. all the recognition ive gotten was for the 'good grades' i got on certain drawings /paintings /ect. anyway not trying to take away focus from this artist but if he were here to talk im sure he would be thanking everyone also.

Every weekend there are six or seven guys/gals that do this for about $7 a painting. And at the Los Angeles Fair there are dozens. Two things amaze me....that they can do a painting in less than 10 minutes...and they do it for so little.

I agree with the amazement, but I understand it. Spraypaint lets them lay down alot of paint in very little time, so they can do it quickly. Also, they're doing what they love to do, so they don't need to ask for much money.

When i went on holiday, 2 years ago to spain ( Majorca ), Walking across past the hotels etc, we came across a crowd of people, So, Intrigued, We went to check it out, and there was a guy doing, exactly the same as you, But some of his work, looked a slight bit more impressive, but you did do yours a fair bit quicker.
I in no mean mean offence to that guy, But it's some pretty nice handiwork tbh.

.. these guy are all over venice beach, and believe me there's a ton with their stencils and newspaper. While their 'discipline' is kinda cool.. the finished product is the equivalent of a black velvet painting of elvis or a snow tiger or something. neat trick.. but that crap aint hanging at my house.. sorry.

There used to be a guy over here in eastern Mass who did that and it was fuckin insane. He would do an entire painting in 3 or 4 minutes and it would literally be more realistic than a photo.And it wasn't the same shit over and over. He did oceans, mountains, new york, you name it. Always used to claim he was good friends with tony hawk and did board designs for him. Amazing talent.
