Love comedians these days.
Comedians are beginning to be very blunt. Speaking the truth to an audience gets a much better reaction than the good ol' knock knock joke. A couple simple cases are Chris Rock and Larry The Cable Guy. Larry being cleaner with his language but he knows how to put it across.

In todays society, the truth is funny.

  He's not from the south, and that's a fake accent he's doing. It's all for show. I saw a stand-up he did years ago. He wore dress-pants and a button down shirt, and had no accent whatsoever. He sucks even more now.
