yes you will sink if you stop ..what do you think aluminum and 180 lbs of human automaticaly float???? you have to have some sort of forward motion for this to stay "above the water" it works the same was as an airplane wing but in the water...if you gonna make a comment use your brain

bouyancy laws would come into play here. The aluminum piece in the water looks like it will displace a fair amount of mass, so unless you fell, I don't think you would sink...
