KO after KOP after KO the best fighter ever.
Tyson was a great boxer. He wasn't just a wild swinger he waited for his openings. However, he wouldn't go the distance against Ali. Tyson was fast but Ali was faster, and quicker to the punch. Ali would dance circles around Tyson. Rocky Marciano.. would've died against Tyson. Tyson is way more powerful than Marciano, and Marciano is... well, short. A good match for Tyson would be Liston, Foreman or
Fraizer. It would be cool to see Power against Power. (and i'm capitalizing power because that's how strong these guys are.) Tyson's Power would be a nice match for Foreman's Power, Fraizer's left hook or even Liston's chin. (and yes, Liston did have a great chin, and it's sad that people always compare Liston with Ali because Liston was a great boxer.) So, is Tyson a great fighter? Undoubtedly, but the best ever? i would have to give it to Ali. (Oh yea, Tyson wouldn't last long in the UFC due to his lack of ground work, but if you switch the scenarios if anybody from the UFC put on boxing gloves and stepped in the ring, they would be killed, especially against Tyson.) And as for Tyson's fall... He did it to himself. He's a little boy trapped in a man's body. (a BIG man's body) The death of his mentor, I forget his name, didn't help either.
what if this .. what if that. fraizer gave ali the most trouble. tyson and fraizer had the same style of fighting. however, fraizer did not have the power tyson had. if ali tried the ROPE-A-DOPE on tyson he wouldn't last very long. we will never really know. i could be wrong. i respect ALI's spirit above all .. a great champ!
By swamp-fox 1158356300 Reply Spam [+1] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveF****ts under your post be saying how Tyson wasnt a boxer. Its the way you put it. Tyson's not the regular hard working and talented boxer. Tyson is a beast. He's extremely strong, and despite public belief he has GREAT technique. No he's not like Ali. Ali was way faster. But Im thinkin he's stronger than Ali. Ali is another story. Ali is a whole other era of boxing. Things change in sports. You cant compare Jordan's skills with Kobe's skills for example. The defenders are diferent, the ways of training are diferent etc.
Only sure thing is that Tyson was(is) a great fighter. He's a difficult, but a great personality too.
For me, my personal favorite fighter. I do however recognize that Ali was much faster. And had much better fatigue.
There was a boxer wayyy back in the day that many people don't seem to realize or remember. Man, what toughness
By bomber767 1152300941 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removejack johnson? who are you talking about?
By swamp-fox 1158356436 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveYou know Tyson never fought and won vs anyone worth a crap. Plain and simple he was a paper champion.
By SuperiorMusician 1151454724 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveEver since Tyson lost to "Buster" whatever his last name was. He fell off. Don King had a lot to do with it too though.
By M3KiNG 1151698380 Reply Spam [-1] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removeyou forget that lots of ufc fighters are boxers, thai boxers ,karate fighters, ...
in all those sports you don't learn ground work but they learn it before they compete in a ufc fight so tyson could learn that S**t to. i think he would be a great ufc fighter.
Yea, but I guess Tyson does have a little ground experience... I mean he did R**e someone. Oh and I forgot to add that Don King lead Tyson to where he is now.
By M3KiNG 1151272124 Reply Spam [-1] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveTyson is like a Mustang, if u know how to drive its a powerful car but theres always a GT.Great fighter? NO, Showman? more likely. The real fighters never crash like Tyson did.
UFC and Boxing is like comparing Tennis with Baseball.
Tyson was a very good boxer but he was a byproduct of a down time for heavyweights...he didnt fight anyone in their prime. He was like a heavy weight version of DeMotta. As for Ali...I dont know, Joe Fraiser didnt have great technique either but could hit like a ton of bricks. As for his personal life...he was just a kid and we can thank Don King for F*
By logem1 1154996112 Reply Spam [+2] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveHe did fight someone in their prime, Lenox Lewis, and I must say that Tyson got his arse handed to him on a very shiny silver plate
By Mighty Hellboy 1155300576 Reply Spam [+1] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveTyson wasn't in his prime though.
By crallowbird 1155938745 Reply Spam [-1] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveBut i think if both of these fighters had of faught on there best days, that lewis would edge it for the simple fact tyson was a hard hitter, therefore lewis would last the rounds or maybe knock tyson out. But thats just my opinion on it.........
By Mighty Hellboy 1155946692 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removehe was a beast when amateur too, don't forget

EYE OF THE TIGER - Tyson had it and so he was an undisputed champion for so many years! I remember when I saw ROCKY III for the first time, that expression made me a great impression and when you look at Tyson what do you see?!? You see THE EYE OF THE TIGER! They all train, they are all strong, they all want to win but only a few of them have it - THE EYE OF THE TIGER! That is something that you just can't learn in the gym - it's either you have it and become a great fighter or not!

By AladdinSane 1160001269 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveTyson is not a fighter,he'a chump!!! What a loser!!! I wouldn't walk across the street to see him fight..He's just a street thug!!!He had his two minutes of fame, now he's in the poorhouse again...
By fossilman 1159303547 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removeimagine the power of tyson and the fast movements of ali well there u hae the perfect boxer in the world but na i think tyson will beat ali ....ali coul run in circles but with one punch tyson will kill i mean KILL ali ....tyson is heavy weight remember .....tyson has power in punch...one mistake could mean knock out for ali
By Osmarchito 1157610890 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removetyson was the best but he was more a street fighter then a boxer he just ran in and hit anything what moves

can you give me the title of this song pleazz!
thanks
If u all remember vitor belfort made a name in the UFC for fast hands hard to shoot in on someone when ur face is getting hit the entire time so take ur chance of getting hit while u take him ground and u wont clinch against a guy like tyson or ur ribs will pay for it.
By thetruth21 1154655647 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveHe's a beast but he was a great fighter. One of the best.He was not the tallest of all but definitely the strongest.Tyson reminds me of a pitbull that goes at anything bigger then him and tears it appart. He definitely tore his opponents appart, literally saying.

By GuitarGod 1150950180 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removealthough he had the strength of a gorilla, he is fast as F**k too. no one can hit harder, faster, and cause more damage. F**king awsome
By max b 1150604110 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveStop chatting S**t , Tyson wasnt that fast, Lennex Lexis was faster (slightly) But yer i do have to give it to Tyson, he was one hard hitting son of a bitch!!
By Haz_97 1159522648 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removeso what lack of fundamentals and hard living cut his career short. never again will such explosive power be seen in heavy wieght boxing. great video, terrible music!
By Bergkamp 1149921275 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down Remove....shame about the boxer.
Virtually no boxer that Tyson faught was a worthy opponent.
Tyson was a talentless slugger and wild brawler who only "outclassed" his hand-picked and utterly worthless, no-chance weaklings.
His "explosive power" was both a sham and a waste.
No talent, cry baby, eunuch-voiced P***y who only found true power in his abuse of women - the only people he had the balls to face without Don King choosing them first.
Loser.
Someone talks sense, agree all the way
By Haz_97 1159522757 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removegreat man he is very low i mean bitting some ones ear off,
threatin a stranger that he is gonna eat there children wtf mate? sounds like some one who should be locked up.
or he is just a cannible and necrophile(sex with dead children 4 u ppl that dont know
To everyone here that says Tyson had no technique, wouldnt last in UFC, etc, have no idea.
No one can have such a great living in boxing and not be great. No technique? he has great technique, as is demonstrated with his cobra weaving and dodging many hits. And finally on this subject, Tyson came out at the start of most matches in full swing, straight into the opponent, and took many hits to go down, so i find it hard to believe that someone with this fighting style and skill couldn't go well in the UFC.
Oh, and for whoever posted "wtf?", Tyson is not a cannibal, as he never swallowed the ear. And the word "necrophile" doesnt mean sex with dead children, its definition is: "one that is affected with necrophilia". nothing about being a peadophile in that word.
Mike Tyson is a very explosive boxer, you could never compare UFC with Mike Tyson, because they are completely different. Like every legendary fighter, they get sick in the head after years of abuse. And unlike boxers today he used traditional methods of training. And technique is technique buddy, use what works. Not just stand there with a nice stance and say you have a nice technique and then get clobbered.

By LiVeRpOoL_lAd 1149880424 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removethe worlds best fighter? I have no respect for him nor do I like him, but I do not hate him. He is not the worlds best fighter because he has not fought every fighter.....he would'nt last in the UFC
By 3eo51 1149868635 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveI think he would have done quite well in the UFC. He'd have to round out the ground game, but you can't argue with results. He was a champion becuase we was a fighter, and he'd fight well no matter what the rules or circumstance were. Besides, fighting is mostly in the mind, and he had the mind for it.
By bobomo 1149898270 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveTyson in the UFC would kill them. Hardly any rules, smack them while they are down. Easy
He was a total beast, when the ref said fight, he would run right up to the opponent and start swinging like no tomorrow.
He was a great fighter, and a world champion because he was the best.
In the UFC he would smack the other guy with one hit, and then when the opponent is on the floor he would literally kill them, he wouldn't stop. He would just keep pounding away.
tyson would have NO chance in UFC. he would end up flat on his back, gasping for air from a rear naked, or better yet, dragging knuckles on the ground from a dislocated shoulder and drying tears with the other. PLEASE!
By hashslingingslasher 1159566872 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removeneither the way he fought nor him as a person. Seeing him fight is seeing a Gorilla fighting...A horrible technique that sometimes reminds me the fight between Ali and Fraizer... Holyfield was a muuuch better and complete fighter... Seeing Holyfield owning Tyson was like poetry in movement... You should put that instead...
GOd are you a F**king idiot? Okay, so i guess his 3 second KOs and complete destruction of many fighters dont count because you say he has no technique. Right. YOu play to win, not to look pretty.
ANd the only reason why Tyson fell off is because Otto dieing... DOn King made him insane.
Beast have no sense!
By Lth783 1149809325 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveAt his PEAK this guy was phenomenal!
Too much money & DIRTY women ruined this guys career
I think he did this all by himself with a tiny bitty push from King. He was born and raised to be a sh yt bag and that's just what he became. Too bad, having all this talent and wasting it. It's an insult to a sport that made him rich and famous... before putting him through hell.
By AcerSiXX 1149864983 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveYeah he's tough but I'd still like to show him a few moves, I notice when he swings he's still as a statue, Gotta' put your core into it.
By riosstyles 1157714437 Reply Spam [-1] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removeyoure trying to tell us that YOU could teach tyson how to hit with more power? laughable.
