lights I have seen
I've got the red hand
wait for the green man

suabarus slowing
I am going
some cars hate people
we kill them with kindness
they kill us with bumpers

one day a car hit
taking me under it
i saw the tail pipe
bending bike sideways

bicycle sidewalks, i know you don't like that
but cars going over and closer
knocking me into grates
honking and swerving
assholes are driving

flip-off the pickup
it's suddenly slowing
brake-lights are glowing
stopped in the street
rednecks with guns
fingers curve metal
pulling on rubber

I'm stopped
he's stopped
no traffic, no one
no one is moving
he's turning around

onto the concrete
legs against pedals
frames are shifting
gears are clunking
and catching
