at least some of it was strings
near the end he uses the ring to show that there is NO string, but watch the way he rolls the ring to take it away, there is definitely a string. Other tricks of his were done this way, just watch carefully the way they move the rings to try and convince you there is no string. Otherwise he is brilliant!!
