  thats just water rushing over the hood. if you look at the wheels, the water is only as deep as the tires, which on that truck, looks to be only 30 inches.

How did the vehicle manage to not gulp water through the intake is beyond me. I'd have to say the truck is lucky or it has a smartly placed intake.

- smart placement
  it's intake placement if it's factory.. the air cleaner box is mounted so that water will not get picked up into the intake as long as the intake box remains above water. on most GM trucks that level is right under the hood, so it would take a pretty high water level to drown it. that box is actually the reason I won't change to a "high performance" type intake on mine.
