    Biochar is a way for carbon to be drawn from the atmosphere and is a solution to reducing the global impact of farming (and in reducing the impact from all agricultural waste). Since biochar can sequester carbon in the soil for hundreds to thousands of years[2]. One of the largest controllable greenhouse gas sources are fully vented septic tanks and landfills. (as much as 40% of the total according to the AIA). Using a biochar filled septic vent pipe filter at home on your rooftop plumbing vent pipe, can sequester up to 18% on a weight per weight basis of these greenhouse gases for reuse as an ornamental gardening fertilizer.
