    I know you wanna be patriotic, but the US totally dominates warfare, against any country, even one as large as russia. (not that we'd have to fight them) Soldiers in iraq get killed because its war, and in war people die eventually no matter how hard you try because you have to go and fight the enemy. Insurgents fight, and eventually get lucky. Frankly, if the US faught an organized army it'd be easier to beat, because fighting armies is what we (US) do best, not fighting insurgencies.

    If Iran stepped in who'd give a f_? Iran couldnt beat iraq, and the US beat the s_ out of them. Iran would be too afraid. They have no army, just a bunch of college kids they can trick into suicide-jihad human wave attacks.
