Former American Idol winner Taylor Hicks will take on the role of Teen Angel in Grease beginning June 6.

Stephen Byrd, the producer of Cat On A Hot Tin Roof, will be taking the Broadway show to the big screen. The movie, based on the availability of its stars, will begin shooting next year. Cat On A Hot Tin Roof will finish its run on Broadway on June 22.

Cat On A Hot Tin Roof isn't the only Broadway show getting the silver screen treatment. August: Osage County and Master Harold and the Boys will also get cinematic treatment. Master Harold is scheduled to begin shooting in Durban, South Africa under the direction of Lonny Price beginning July 10.

Liz Callaway will bring her cabaret act The Beat Goes On to Feinstein's at the Loews Regency, June 17-28. Liz is a Broadway veteran who has appeared in Baby, Merrily We Roll Along, Miss Saigon, Cats, and The Look of Love.
