Camaro Vs Skyline

Everyone has given valid points about that cars. Yes, the camaro won, but for what I can see, its only because it had a better driver. And for the record, that was not an R32 GT-R, it was the GTS-T. I own two skylines, R-34 GT-R, and a R-32 GTS-T. I know what both can do, and there is not a camaro in the world that is street legal that would touch my R-34. There is no way, no how, and I invite anyone and their camaro to come to Ohio and find out. End of story!!!!

oh if you didnt know, RH9 cars are skylines that do 9s with full interiors....none of that lightweight crap....

You guys do realize thats only an LT1 right...an LS1 Camaro will make that one look like it's going backwards, even if it has alot of mods much less the R32. And fyi an LS1 with a head/cam package and intake exhaust mods will run in the solid 11's and these cars routinely break into the high 12's BONE STOCK no spray. LS1 H/C Intake Full header back exhaust= 450rwhp plus whatever spray you care/dare to run. And homeboy VXD grow some balls, you have a slow ass car. If you have to make excuses about how a car has never beaten you by more than x seconds you have a shitty slow car. A civic is not a race car. True the skylines have great potential and are real fast, but the fact that they have a turbo and AWD does not make them an unbeatable drag machine, in fact AWD will hurt them not being able to pull the high rpm launches without bogging. Get it in your head that camaros are not strait line pieces of S**t that are slow and easily beaten by imports.

A camaro SS does have a fighting chance against the skyline depending on how tuned it is. A pal of mine has a tuned SS that would blow a skyline. Of course rich people like him can turn an SS Camaro's into the unbeatable beast of the road. I don't think any Skyline can come near his SS.

We all know there's nothing like the American Muscle, Personaly I love the 67 Yenko Camaro, and they all have great power, but sadly they don't stand a chance against The Japanese Tuners.. No way, I own a Civic with a B16 And No SS camaro Has beaten me by more than 2 seconds.. Plus look closely at the video the camaro had a slight headstart, imagine what the big boy R34 can do.

yes after close studies and looking at the video, that is not a GTR but a gtst, GTR = twin turbo,4wd ets-attessa system(good traction) beast! the smallest of mods are capable of putting a gtr to 400hp easy @ stock it only puts out 280hp, GTST = rear wheel drive single small turbo only puts out 240 stock, slight mods will not get it to 400hp.
(But remmeber the skyline was never ment to go in a straight line-boring!!!) it's ment for track and drift use.

A stock Nissan Skyline R32, R33, and R34 GT-R has about 276 hp to the flywheel out of the RB26DETT. A stock Camaro SS usually has around 300 or 325 to the fly. Those two cars did not appear to be stock, obviously. The beauty of the Skyline is in the aftermarket, not its stock form. However the four - wheel - drive and four - wheel - steering are a treat. Anyways, this video doesn't really explain what was done to each car. I noticed just a front mount on the Skyline and all that does is keep the turbyyy cooled down better than stock, maybe frees up a little hp. Other than that we don't know. The Camaro could have a S**t load done. The video doesn't really do any car justice. But, we all know that most Camaro fans do simple bolt ons and the Skyline RB26 twin turbo is MADE for tuning. It can withstand up to and over 600 horses with the stock internals and is much more workable ( in my opinion ) than a damn LS1.

Different types of cars for different types of racing a skyline vs a wrx on backroads would be a more fair match... You can get a camero to go 7's maybe lower with proper tuning and a automatic tranny but that wont help you in backroads

So it`s the oldest Skyline on the market. It is possible that the Camaro beats an R32, R33 or R34 but for sure not the GTRs. Would have been funnier an GTR34 Nismo against the Camaro.
