Pink Is Dangerous

It is a visual interpitaion of what goes on in a mind of a spoiled teenager, in this case her situation leads her outer pink self to overtake her inner self and she becomes depressed and she gave her inner turth to the sake of her ouward appearence thus causing a dramatic loss of sanity, she will become a serial killer. This S**t should be in some stuck up german movie festival.



Ok i have no clue what it's about, shoot the bitch, the guy who made the clip, the guy who sang the song and bang their sisters.

The symbolism (at least imho) has more to do with the loss of youth than anything else. Prepubescent girls, as we all know, tend to have this uncompromising fixation with the colour pink, to have their tele permanently attached to their ear, and to have an ungodly number of stuffed animals. Thus, the first 10 seconds of setup.

Then we see her take her phone away from her ear and give this look of shock or awe or surprise, as if something completely unexpected just happened to her. We're then shown that a conch shell on her shelf has begun to bleed, and fuzzybear notices one or both of these occurances and awakes. This new sensation (most likely her first menstration, symbolized by the bleeding conch shell, though it could possibly be relating to her first orgasm as well, or some combination of both) is overwhelming enough to take her attention completely away from her so previously important phone call, as we see the handset lying on the floor.

As it begins to envelop her whole being, become now and forever a new part of her, we see fuzzybear meandering toward his once beloved caretaker, and soon his eyes show his sadness as he realizes that she has taken a large step away from her youth, and thus away from her need for him. We end with a shot of her naked and fetal on her floor, a new chapter of her life having been birthed, and a sad fuzzybear carressing her, not in comfort (from the look in his eyes), but in the sorrowful realization that she will no longer be the little girl who loved and needed the comfort that only a fuzzybear such as himself could bring her.

A great piece. One of the best shorts to be released in a long time.

However, I looked up adicolor and it turns out as just another commercial, I dbout the advertisers really meant anything beyond some chick getting covered in pink.

...but given the type of talent they went out and contracted to do these and the guidelines (read: lack thereof) they were given by adidas, there is definitely depth and technical and directorial brilliance to be found in a few of them. It was one of a series of shorts that adidas had made, all based on a different colour. The idea was, give a group of well-respected directors complete creative control and an extremely low budget to work with, and release whatever it was that they decided to make. The artists were given absolutely no suggested direction or guidelines other than a specific colour and ~$40k. It was completely up to them to come up with a new and unique idea.

Most of them (being primarily directors and not writers) kind of failed at the "interesting and unique idea" part of the assignment, but a couple of them came up with some pretty cool shorts. This promo for pink, done by Charlie White, being the hands-down standout of the group, and really succeeded on a completely different level of being one of the best clips to come out so far in 2006.
