From AOL news, photos of an Amazon tribe isolated from the world all this time, and hopefully as long as possible.

  • Protect them!

YET ANOTHER REASON to protect the rainforests of our world!
Diversity in people, animals and plants I believe is what will save us all in the end!
Just think of the amount of LIFE SAVING medicines we have already discovered from indigenous tribes, aboriginies, african tribes and other isolated people and areas!!!! We can't afford to mess this up people...
    THINK about it.

  • never seen a car or plane?

What a bunch of bull. You mean to tell me this guy's plane is the first one they've ever seen? Give me a break. If they've never seen cars or trucks before, then how can the loggers pushing them from the jungle. What do they use to haul the trees, elephants or mules? I doubt very seriously that these people are completely ignorant of the rest of the world other than willfully. I think they really just don't care what the rest of the world does. They choose not to know and just want to be left alone.

They would probably freak out if they heard sound come out from a music player.

  • Looks like the savages did a little

logging of their own to make room for the huts. I'll bet they don't have any sanitary waste disposal, either. It goes right into the river. Yum yum. Brazil's laws to protect these people make contact with outsiders illegal. They'll all die of disease eventually, because once contact is made, they'll have no immunity to most of the common influenza viruses that we breathe every day. There are other tribes in Indonesia and Malaysia as well. Giving tribes like this knowledge and understanding is the only way to protect them. Not avoiding and isolating them.

    • yes

Exposure to "new" viruses and bacteria is probably inevitable. But perhaps they have some plant medicines that helped them so far. Maybe their younger generations can adapt their immune systems?
