What you are seeing is a very successful outcome from "drown proofing" an infant. Everyone who has a pool or lives near water should do this for their baby. Sure, the baby may fuss a little, but that is better than drowning. They simulated several different scenarios and positions where the baby might end up in the water. The baby turns over on his back every time! Congratulations to Baby, Mommy, and the coach for a job well done!

what we are seeing here, is an IDEA!! of how well-trained baby survives from drowning in a pool. It does look little bit cruel to the baby, but just imagine what if, in a tiny possible case, your child falls into your pool while you are busy with something and you can't keep your eyes 100% on him, who is gonna help him firstly beside him self???

well, different people have different opinions... but i'm 100% agreed that a baby should get trained if his parents have a pool somewhere near the house

You can say what you want to folks in a training environment a baby gets used to the water and learns not to panic - the baby in the movie will float until mommy or daddy can get to him or her and I assure you most parents will be there but, babies are fast something. It is a natural instinct for the baby to hold their breath when going under water.

What's tougher to watch? A baby that can survive a fall into a pool by floating or a child that is face down in the water and lifeless???? If you don't think a child so young should learn something like this make sure YOU at least know infant CPR. (If you can make use of it in time).

EVERY parent should be teaching there babies to float/swim at an early age. There are so many needless accidental drowning of kids these days. 5/5 for the video and 10/10 to the parents!

I did this to my daughter when she was 3 months old. It seemed cruel at the time but she was never scared of water after that and she still loves swimming at 16.

The baby might have drunk water

its training for the baby if the parents ar away and the baby falls in the pool so it can swim in an emegancy. You can get classes in LA to do this stuff for safety.

I wish my mom would have done that to me when I was an infant. You people don't realize that we humans are tougher than you think, even as infants. It is not abuse. Those that thinks it's abuse or think the mother is a bad mother are inmature and wimps. I commend the mother for teaching her child to survive.

ever have to see a baby or toddler that has drowned. This training can save the childs life. As a fire and rescue person, I've seen a drowned child. It is something you never forget. I hope you negative people never lose a child.
