    Now honestly, How many of you people who are bashing the mac has actually spent a whole lot of time with them? I used a windows machine for about 7 years because I had now idea anything else was out there. I have been using macs for about 3 years and I love them. So I would say I've had a fair amount of time on both systems. Now I'll admit, until the last few years, the mac os has been awful. But I'd say since 10.2, the mac OS is the best. Gaming/fun business stuff...get a windows machine. Internet, email, pictures, video, music, word processing, and everything else, get a mac. They are a little bit more expensive, but totaly worth it. Apple doesn't compete in the low cost, crappy computer market. Aim: Screengem0531 Lets talk.

    MACs to PC is like Pepsi to Coke, theres always the successful product and the one that tries to beat it. If Apple invested into their R and D rather than fancy advertisment, they may actually have a shot at getting people to buy MACs.

      the os on mac is up to 5x slower than the pc and still falls short of user interface plausability. some find it too dificult to learn long term. windows vista and xp pro will out do a mac os anyday.

      Not even Bill Gates could agree with you. Even Bill will never try to say windows will or could ever outperform a Mac. He doesn't try. He is just happy to make an operating system that can run on almost any pc platform that somebody can put together in their garage. I congratulate Bill for all he has done, but remember he does not build the platform, just the OS.

    Both Mac and PCs suck. There is no winner. Get over it. The only people I know who choose a Mac over a PC are doing so for the "look" of the machine. Yes, they look nice. Perform better? No. In fact, most Macs crash more often then PCs.

      I love the pc vs MAC issues... however, my powerbook is three years old. I have never crashed, never defraged, never had a compatibility issue, wireless in hotels and coffee shops - no problem, runs windows, and a driver is what I need when I call a cab.... not looking for a new computer for a few years yet. The higher expense pays immediately in included software and over the long run in reliability and power.... I'm happy, don't care about the rest of you....

    okay, maybe mac has a much better reliability history... but you know why?
    coz you can't do s**t with mac...
    mac has lots of limits, thus much better reliability (also, hackers don't even bother making a virus for mac, just coz not many ppl use it)
    but pc with the standard windows xp enables you to do all sorts of things you can't do with mac.
    the only reason why mac is alive right now is its video graphics capability, which many graphic designers love.
    but it is now becoming history as there are lots of programs out there that exceeds that capability now.
    so to sum up, mac SUCKS!!!

      one more thing i'd like to add:
      mac says that their os is very stable, and impossible to create viruses out of it... so that's why there's no viruses.
      but it's completely false.
      it's just becoz hackers ignore mac.
