That's what happens when you buy your stupid kid a motorbike and a batman suit. Start with a bicycle. A three wheeler preferably.

Yeah it looks like he switched gears (u can see his foot move up) while on a small lean and proabably popped the clutched with a little too much gas. Then he paniced and did what most beginners do which is called eye fixation.

not that fast 40 to 50 mph, on gas for sweeping left hand bend, good position in road for the bend picks up speed smoothly, then back tyer lets go on gravell or oil energy from bike transferd to rider thats why his foot comes off peg. at that moment his balance is lost as you need both feet on pegs for good stability, (unless you good at MX) left foot left hand bend push down on peg bike go's round corner plus a bit of counter steer will = a very smooth corner. ok so this happens and you have 2 seconds to react will you make it?
HELL yeah bite ya lip and look where ya want to be not the wall ya muppet.

You really should have been paying attention to the road instead of looking good on the vid...looking at the wall was also a big mistake, target fixation kicks in and you'll travel to the place you see. I reckon most bikers will have had incidents or near misses just like this at some time in their experiences, you just have to learn from the experience!

First mistake:
shifts a gear down and accelerate at a curve...

sec. mistake:
Don't followed the rule: Allways keep the feet on the pegs!!
(only exeption, if you pushing down the MX-bike in a tight corner)
third mistake ? Pulled the brakes ?

A accident, which still was preventable !!
My recomendation: A few Mx-lessions can enormously improved driving-abilitys!!

... at 00:22 look at his left foot, he down shifts on a turn which caused the "tank-slap". Even when going straight, down shifting while on a high RPM makes the rear tyre lose traction and causes a tank-slap... if you're going straight there's a chance you get out of it, but while on a curve it's near impossible... the best way i know to get out of a tank-slap is to give it gas, if there's a chance, but most poeple panic and hold the breaks...

this is why you dont brake in turn, unless you really have to and know what the hell youre doing

Looks like he caught a wobble.
Not much he could of done but at the speed he was at, he should of been able to reduce enough speed (front brake) to regain control. Putting his foot down off the peg was not to helpful either. Looks like he panicked.

he should have been able to lay it down on the left side.
minimize damage hit the wall with tires not bike.
might have scuffed up his leathers less too.
