how to cook lemony broccoli with Nikolai Ziman

here is the recipie:

trim and chop 1 1/2 lb or 750gr brocoli, about 3 big "trees" into bite size peices rinse and let rest while you do the next steps.

In a pot filled with one inch 2.5 cm of water place a steaming insert, cover with a lid and put on a stove to boil.

In a lage bowl that could hold the broccoli comfortably add the folowing ingredients:

1/4 cup 60ml extra virgin olive oil
2 teaspoons 10ml grated lemon zest
2 tablespoons 30ml lemon juice
3 chopped spring onions with tender green parts
1/2 teaspoon 2.5ml sea salt
1/8 teaspoon 0.6 ml ground pepper
mix it all up.

once the water is boiling place the brocoli in the steaming insert. Cver with the lid and steam for about 3 min.

After 3 min test for doneness with the tip of a paring knife it should be tender. If not ready yet cook for another minute and test again
DO NOT OVER COOK!!!

Put the steamed brocoli into the lemony sauce mixture and with a big spoon or silicone spatula mix to get the brocoli evenly coated with the sauce.
serve right away!
