that does not change the number, as horrific as it is. Even it the number was wrong, why would you find it neccessary to point it out, it is as though you are trying to say "It's not all that bad, it was less than 6 million.".

Anyway, I agree with your follow-up, nobody deserves that. Unfortunately Ethnic Cleansing has never stopped, it continues today - just think of Cambodia, Bosnia, Kosovo, Dafur, Rawanda, so many others too.

He wasn't complaining about the numbers; what he was taking issue with was how people like Silverman keep saying that the Holocaust was merely about Hitler killing 6 million Jews, as if the gays, Christians, gypsies, mentally disabled, and other people who were murdered don't count. They were every much as part of the Holocaust and Hitler's insane plan of purifying Europe, even though they didn't die in as many numbers.

I certainly hope you don't expect that a person is obligated to talk about all the evil things Hitler did, if they mention that he killed 6 million Jews. That would take a very long time indeed.

But if bizzare007 and you are upset that nobody has mentioned the other 'people' involved, or the specific numbers relating to them, why don't you do it? There is no need to make less of what happened to the Jews in the process.

look, i was only trying to point out that a lot of people forget that H**o sexuals, blacks, handicapt people also count in those numbers. i don't think that hitler made a special grave for each type of group or race? do you? so when they count the dead there are probably a lot of non jews in there also. and just to clear things up, i don't want to minimize what happend then, i take that as an insult, especially cause i'm someone who is pro- multicultural living and makes no difference between races and cultures. i only know one culture and one race and that's mankind, period!!
