This jet is going nowhere near the sound barrier. Before just believing what you have been told (because most of what you hear is complete BS), do your research. Look up Prandtl-Glauert singularity.

  yes definitely not supersonic because supersonic is faster than the speed of sound and this effect actually does happen "near" the speed of sound - about 800 mph.

yeah its a "vapor cone", its a condensation cloud that is visible when an aircraft traveling at transonic velocities undergoes a sudden drop in the air pressure, known as the Prandtl-Glauert singularity...but nice video...
