  • Yeesh. People get all excited over this.

    One mil RPM is just a mathematical way of expressing its rate of fire. Clearly this thing can not fire continuously for one minute. Unless the bullets are D.U. or some such (thus requiring a sabot or some other kind of jacket), I seriously doubt its ability to penetrate armor. What this thing amounts to is a very sophisticated shotgun. It's a cool feat of engineering to be sure, but tactically it's a long run for a short slide.

    This weapon's been around for a few years. It's primary application is saturation fire against missiles. Bullets are stacked in the barrel and fired eletrically. Multi barrel systems can be configured into patterns of fire, square, round etc and the rounds themselves can be configured to fire in specific sequences

    Believe it or not, this device was invented by a supermarket manager in Queensland.(He couldn't get the Aussie government to listen to him) , and the first Yanks to see film footage of it in action (Firing so fast that there were 3 or 4 bullets in the barrel at the same time) said "AMAZING WHAT YOU CAN DO WITH SPECIAL EFFECTS".It took him over 6 mths to get someone to listen..
    I bet they are eating their words now..Its lucky after the crap he went through that he didn't sell it to the Chinese or someone else..

      Because of the phenomonal rate of fire it will go through armor plate...Just like one poke in the chest with a finger doesn't hurt much, if it is repeated a hundred times you will have a nasty bruise,imagine 50 bullets striking the same spot in 1,000th of a second..OUCH
