I had just started using meta, and I was amazed how many people called genuine clips fake, usually because they knew NOTHING about the subjects... So, to MOCK THEM, (as well as because I like to be silly and make people laugh,) I made a few comments like this one. YOU are actually too kind to those who went CRAZY attacking me, as you said they take life TOO seriously...... They were simply TOO FEEBLE-MINDED to understand subtle sarcasm and humour! (If ONLY their replies to ME were actually a joke as well!) I taught school for 12 years, so i really SHOULD have REMEMBERED just what the level of the "lowest common denominator" was! There are TWO kinds of people here: those WITH minds, and those ------- (Now let's GUESS how many can't fill in that blank!) cheers to you as well!
too many people bitching about the comments saying FAKE and stuff like that, and all it does is waste space, but sometimes the FAKES get kind of annoying. Lets just all comment about the movie in a way that is enjoyable for everyone, rather than these stupid hate wars that we seem to accumulate here at Metacafe. I think they should make a word restriction of 15-20 words...
The first comment was an enjoyable one but there are too many people out there that recognize a joke only when the other people around him are laughing.

1. (lowest common demonator) anything you hit that makes sound falls into the percussion catagory, further reguardless of wether it has a name on the side of your favorite food product or favorite drum maker if it makes noise it can be used as an instrument.
2. i would like to have said to silver palm trees that your comment (at least the reply) was a lil harsh but then i read all the other comments and have to sadly agree you are right on the money. these are the same people who will trash mark twain. as far as the original comment enjoyably subtle
and finally 3. This guy is freaking amazing. I have known few drummers that good and that includes all the ones from the 99' - 01' seasons of the blue nights drum and bugle corp.

this clip should be pulled because of how fake it is. the drums are fake and so is the guy. you can clearly see in frame 00:31:05 that there are wires hanging out of his head. clearly a robot of cybernetic intelligence!!

and im gooing to tell you why! take a good look when he uses his feet to raice the white can.... thats the sound of the base! he elevates the can and hits it.. then he plays the high hat sound with the corner of the white can, .... and the rest he plays with the white can on the floor(thats the snare sound) .he also plays the snare with the other white can,... does not sound like any drums ive heard or played. its all in the white cans.. nothing added sir, take a good look at it again. this guy is very talented.
and you will see what a mistake you just made with your detailed explanation!
not a fake, i know the difference cuz i used to play with cans like that when i was a kid, now i play on a band, those dont sound like real drums...

As a musician I've seen and met some amazing drummers in my time. What he has learned to do (and very well I might add) without the proper equipment shows his dedication and love of the music. In my opinion he ranks up there with some of the best I have played with/seen.

as many of youare skeptical, you may want to watch his spine movement as it refrences the drumming beat...... the postion of the strike and the lifting of the pails will change the sound

I know this is real only because i have seen people playing them in person. I live close to new orleans and there are people there that do this all the time. they are in hope that someone will tip them. You would be suprised how much money they make off of tips with odd perfomances on the streets of new orleans. These are just regular 5 gallon buckets which are empty.
