Tyson would have been to powerful for Ali to stand up against in his prime. Would have been a good fight but Ali couldn't have pulled the rope-a-dope on Tyson like he did Foreman. He would have gotten beat up over time. Tyson's body shots were probably the greates the game has ever seen. Get off the Ali train, yes he was good. The greatest? Nope.

Ali is undeniably the greatest boxer their ever was, hes was very strategic and tecnicle. Tyson has a more brutaly braweld stlye however, he lacks the mentality that Ali used in his pre fights,using his intuition to break down his opponents befor theyd enterd the ring. Georg forman for example, when he knocked him out when all odds were against him. Hes much too clever to loose to a ear biteing bum like tyson!!!

Ali would still find a way to defeat tyson. Perhaps his long reach and floating ring movement would prove too much for the alligator arms and flat feet of the power puncher. Tyson also often appears a better fighter because he fought when there were few other great heavyweights around, Ali had to fight Liston, Patterson, Smokin' Joe Frazier and Big George Foreman...

ali was a much better fightere than mike tyson. tyson isnt a great fighter in terms of technique hes just strong and fast and angry he not the brightest crayon in the box though.

what are you talking about you better be kidding. Muhammad Ali is the greatest boxer of all times. Lewis, holifield, and other ould be knocked down easily by Muhammad Ali. today's athletes are'nt stronger that the ones a couple of decades ago, this is ridiculous. because even tyson is considered to be slightly after Ali, which isn't a big deal.

Tyson for sure was great in his time, I love him so much and I was so pissed of by his last matches, I think he should have done better. I have always been watching tyson and Ali matches. I have all of them.

Mike tyson was very good early in his career, had enormous power and speed, just not many good opponents to go up against. To say that Ali wouldn't last 3 rounds against Tyson is to say you know nothing about boxing. Look at videos of george foreman, joe frazier, sonny liston and tell me they didn't have raw power or speed.

Tyson=bad. Iron Mike is a product of all that's unsavoury about our culture- namely, those who recieve the downside of our wealth, living in inner city the slums. Sure, he had some good qualities early in his career and he's definitely a fascinating character- but the man's no hero, he's a bully, both inside the ring and out of it. However, if you are talking about raw physical presence, or boxing prowess -then yes, he is admirable in that sense.

sure he was. I like him, I do strongly agree that during his era he was the greatest boxer ever. His model was Muhammad Ali.

He doesn't look like Ali. He looks like a man with a psychosis. Charging in, taking straight punches in order to reach the opponent's face. He looks dangerous to the other fighters, and not in a sporty way. I can't believe no one stopped him from being let into the ring before the ear thing happened. One crazy legacy this man has. Fame nonetheless I suppose.
