Clothes make the scene girl! Without the scene clothes you may come off as a prep or even worse a goth, so dress carefully!

For bottoms wear super tight skinny jeans, or tights the darker and the tighter the better. If you are wearing tights a tutu is a must!

For Shoes Wear flats like black or bright red ballet shoes and even metallic flats are ok. Slip-on Vans are the rage. Black converse with laces or without laces are also scene but have become so popular you may look like a poser. Stick with Vans!

For tops wear really tight hardcore band tees shirts with a metallic sheen, leopard/zebra print, polka dots. Stripes are also highly acceptable. Cartoon characters are very popular. Real scene girls dress in Hello Kitty, Gloomy Bear, Pokémon, Teenage Mutant Ninja turtles, Invader Zim, Batman, Superman, Tinkerbell and any other cartoon gears. Pyramid stud belts, bigger the better and classic white belts are good.

Huge sunglasses are a must, and the bigger the better. The newest edition to the scene girls sunnies are the old fashioned "cop" style sunnies. Over-sized pearl necklaces or other long necklaces are a must. There are a number of ways you can wear them that will

    @ 36 years of age i have cd's and tapes .. so i class my self a fan .... to the following bands that i'm going to mentioned and with out them you wouldn't have a EMO .. i find it highly amusing that the emo grl / boi has there hair backed combed and styled like Robert Smith from the Cure yet they don't even know who he is... they have no indidival style the check fashion came from Ska music,the black make up and pale face from great bands like the Cure, Souxie Sou,and Sister of mercy, the showing of men's pant's pleazzz is a Hip Hop look and lacy gloves and knee high socks and ribbons is a strawberry switch blade... look ...(please note not a chemical romance T**t is the mix )
    So to all you fake wanna be's please check your fashion and music history before claiming it as your own ..and PS take a hint from GRRR! above me if you don't listen to the band then don't WEAR THE Tee SHIRT (ps the next EMO i see wearing a CURE t'shirt i'm gunna give them 5 seconds to name me @ least 5 songs or i'm rippin that t'shirt off their back)...luv ya!!
