I wish I could've gotten to go to Coney Island in the 40s. It looks like so much fun! If time machines were possible, that'd be my first stop-heading over to the 1940s Coney Island! :)

Not demolishing,but,they're basically the same thing. They're going to build over it with hotels and things like that,make it more resort like...but I don't want it to change =(

...Coney Island looked like so much fun back then...and I'd really like to go to it the way it was back then. The way it is now,everything keeps getting torn down and it's just not the way it was back then...I wish I was born at a time when it was like that,like how my mom got to go there,and my grandfather.

Thanks for those memories. It was really wonderful seeing the past and the place we grew up.

i dont think anybodys building casinos...they're illegal you know (on federal land). They're building apartments and a new theme park but they'll keep the old landmarks like cyclone, chute jump, some others

whirling disks = "Human Pool Table" at the Pavillion of Fun--an enclosed building at Steeplechase Park. In fact, most of the rides you see in this film were actually indoors (excluding the Wonder Wheel, the water shoot ride and the Cyclone, of course). My favorite is the Human Roulette Wheel--the ride that has everyone sitting on it at the start and spins everyone off, like a merry-go-round on steriods.

Noooo! They cant close coney Island! Do you know how much history is there? Thats Brooklyns history. I love Coney and till this day I love it but dam why they have to make casinos there? Thats why we have atlantic city. Leave coney as is....
