    Seems that more and more people would rather side with animals than with humans. They should have just shot the moose. The life of that man is more valuable that that of the moose no matter what kind of life he has.

    by the looks of it that moose was in the town or in a buliding if it was some prtected place for them to be i dont think that many ppl and cars would be around you tree huggin animal rights ppl need to stop worrying about all the poor little animals they are dangerouse and do sometimes just attack for no reason

    I am from alaska and infact I go to that very building 4 or 5 times a week. This moose did not just attack for no reason. There were 3 dumb ass kids who were throwing snowballs at the calf of this moose and this poor guy walked out the door to find a pissed off moose who killed him.
    Yes I hate moose, because the are a pain in the ass up here, moving all around town getting in the way but this time it was not the moose's falt.

      Ok to start with i neave said " Your"... so dont quote me like that if I did not say that it is dishonest.

      And 2 is the moose population in the anchorage bowl has exploded so much so that they allow limited hunting within the city limtis. Why? because there is no natural hunters of the moose. The moose travel form hundreds of miles ways to get to anchorage where there is no hunting to calf, they are intruding. Your argument is the one used to say the Pipe-Line from the north slope is harming the Porkupine herd near ANWR, Bullshit. Just like the moose in Anchorage I can say for a FACT that not one of the anamals has ever known of a world that they live in with out anchorage or the pipline we are not intruding on them. Take your green message and put it to where it will do some good and save a place that has not been touched and would truly effect the anamals.

  • I saw this happen. Was in Anchorage, Alaska at U of A Anchorage. Kids had been throwing snowballs at previously been throwing snowballs at the moose. She got angry and took on an innocent man walking out of the art department doors. Killed him. Not right to antagonize wildlife.

    This event happened in Anchorage, Alaska and it was sad. This moose cow had been tormented by kids and was trying to protect her calf. The man was in the wrong place, wrong time. He should have been watching out, as most residents try to do. Sadly, the man died of his injuries and they did shoot the moose.

    Sure I feel bad for the man and he was at the wrong place at the wrong time but that is a wild cow moose with her calf who kill grizzly bears, wolfs what would running in do? Really people if a cow is capable of killing a few full grown wolfs when you say drop the camera and run in there your an idiot she would kill you too the only way would to either shoot her or get in with a truck but the man unfortunatly was done after the first few kicks.

    Once again the apathy of mankind amazes me.. although, what the hell are wild animals doing in a town? That poor man had no chance when he walked out of the building. You would expect something like this to happen in Africa where I stay, yet this only happens occasionally in the wild - not in town or cities.

    This sad incident only confirms the apathy we humans have got towards our fellow human beings. I Saw a pickup truck driving past and also other people walking past without helping the poor man. But why are wild animals allowed to walk free in towns and or villages? This sort of scenario would be a major issue here in South Africa in Johannesburg where I live. There are no wild dangerous animals even close to villlages or towns, let alone cities!

    From the video I'm not sure what this guy was doing over there, but I've seen idiots in Yellowstone National Park trying to get as close as they can to a moose for a picture. Even with their children. If anything good can come out of this, maybe these shutterbugs will think first before they get in a wild animals personal space.
