Daddy got runover by a reindeer...er...moose... walking home from our house christmas eve...
Seems that more and more people would rather side with animals than with humans. They should have just shot the moose. The life of that man is more valuable that that of the moose no matter what kind of life he has.
By pinoy 1105679101 Reply Spam [+4] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveA man getting trampled on by a moose... just gives you that feeling which makes you feel sorry for the man, i hope the moose is dead.
By Spiro64 1134236025 Reply Spam [+2] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removeyour right people do film stupid S**t , instead of helping.where have all the knights gone? cruelty in any form is unexceptable.
By mooncat56 1121089436 Reply Spam [+2] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveSomeone bothered 2 film the dangerous situation 4 the man, instead of helping him!
By pumaoase 1114571548 Reply Spam [+2] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removeby the looks of it that moose was in the town or in a buliding if it was some prtected place for them to be i dont think that many ppl and cars would be around you tree huggin animal rights ppl need to stop worrying about all the poor little animals they are dangerouse and do sometimes just attack for no reason
I can tell you about an animal who is realy dangerous and often attack for no reason, taking thousands of lives every day.
Guess who? yes, the HUMAN BEING!!!
thats who you should be affraid of..
I have cats, and they hunt for sport. They capture, and play with their prey, then they kill it and wander off to take a nap. Humans are part of nature too, therefore we have as much right as the animals do to be anywhere we want, and even more so if you believe in survival of the fittest. We are smarter, so we make the rules.
By Bartalot 1202276226 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveI am from alaska and infact I go to that very building 4 or 5 times a week. This moose did not just attack for no reason. There were 3 dumb ass kids who were throwing snowballs at the calf of this moose and this poor guy walked out the door to find a pissed off moose who killed him.
Yes I hate moose, because the are a pain in the ass up here, moving all around town getting in the way but this time it was not the moose's falt.
I totaly agree that it wasn´t the moose´s fault but I disagre with you on your second comment.
What do you mean that you hate the moose for being in "your" city?
You mabey built the city on their forest. ever thout about that?
Your the introuder, not them!!!!
Ok to start with i neave said " Your"... so dont quote me like that if I did not say that it is dishonest.
And 2 is the moose population in the anchorage bowl has exploded so much so that they allow limited hunting within the city limtis. Why? because there is no natural hunters of the moose. The moose travel form hundreds of miles ways to get to anchorage where there is no hunting to calf, they are intruding. Your argument is the one used to say the Pipe-Line from the north slope is harming the Porkupine herd near ANWR, Bullshit. Just like the moose in Anchorage I can say for a FACT that not one of the anamals has ever known of a world that they live in with out anchorage or the pipline we are not intruding on them. Take your green message and put it to where it will do some good and save a place that has not been touched and would truly effect the anamals.
it is people like you spreading foolish, ignorant nonsense. it is thinking like that all over the world that causes senseless acts of vilence. it is because of that view that provokes people to become the worst of them. you need to start delivering a message of peace to bring about the unity of mind. that is the only way you can accomplish anything. the view i am talking about just in case your wondering is the selfish, ignorant and uneducated view. open your mind. don't be so narrow minded in your view, only in your action.
By dcn 1169995861 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveNo help - it is more importent to make the video
poor mann !!
I saw this happen. Was in Anchorage, Alaska at U of A Anchorage. Kids had been throwing snowballs at previously been throwing snowballs at the moose. She got angry and took on an innocent man walking out of the art department doors. Killed him. Not right to antagonize wildlife.
By Svea 1098448937 Reply Spam [+1] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removei saw this on oprah before. i don't think he was killed. and i think they were throwing rocks too. she was just angry and was protecting her calf.
By KingSVT 1108591782 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removeand no one moved to help the poor one!!!! instead of standing there like idiots!!
By ELIO 1089715634 Reply Spam [+1] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveThis event happened in Anchorage, Alaska and it was sad. This moose cow had been tormented by kids and was trying to protect her calf. The man was in the wrong place, wrong time. He should have been watching out, as most residents try to do. Sadly, the man died of his injuries and they did shoot the moose.

By Bodljica 1226661837 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveSure I feel bad for the man and he was at the wrong place at the wrong time but that is a wild cow moose with her calf who kill grizzly bears, wolfs what would running in do? Really people if a cow is capable of killing a few full grown wolfs when you say drop the camera and run in there your an idiot she would kill you too the only way would to either shoot her or get in with a truck but the man unfortunatly was done after the first few kicks.
By my two cents 1141185841 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveOnce again the apathy of mankind amazes me.. although, what the hell are wild animals doing in a town? That poor man had no chance when he walked out of the building. You would expect something like this to happen in Africa where I stay, yet this only happens occasionally in the wild - not in town or cities.
By Aardvark 1138131567 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveThis sad incident only confirms the apathy we humans have got towards our fellow human beings. I Saw a pickup truck driving past and also other people walking past without helping the poor man. But why are wild animals allowed to walk free in towns and or villages? This sort of scenario would be a major issue here in South Africa in Johannesburg where I live. There are no wild dangerous animals even close to villlages or towns, let alone cities!
By Aardvark 1138038863 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveWith LQQkieAK. Yes, if possible, shoot. The second (and easiest) approach, was to intervene. Charge your SUV towards these animals. They will be driven off. This Gent will go home. Was anyone on this road paying attention? I live in Hawaii. No difference. I am sad. Stephen.
By SpectreDeed 1137221377 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removedid that man die? why the hell would anybody takes pictures of it, instead of helping? just goes to show, ppl are sick

By Margaritas 1124535881 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveYeah! Pretty scary and dangerous. I used to live in Alaska before. Beware that some of the people could get killed by moose. Bull Moose is very strong and dangerous, too! Do not get close to that angry moose!

By the fantom 1097430800 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveWHY ARE THERE SUCH BEASTS ON THIS PLANET,well i enjoy watching them but i would run like HELL if one just popped up in front of me, no better yet i would have kicked its F**king ass, and we all know that a moose dont have a chance against a hardrocking kickass human.
By The Kristet Utseende 1144870822 Reply Spam [-1] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveThose "F**king beasts" that you are talking about isn´t any other than our selfs, the human race... we are the ones that shouldn´t be aloud to live on this planet. stop harrasing all other species and take a looke at what you are, you self. YOU are a brutal beast!

By GoGis 1134255361 Reply Spam [-1] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveFrom the video I'm not sure what this guy was doing over there, but I've seen idiots in Yellowstone National Park trying to get as close as they can to a moose for a picture. Even with their children. If anything good can come out of this, maybe these shutterbugs will think first before they get in a wild animals personal space.
By 1101449928 Reply Spam [-1] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveThe person got too close to a mother, She felt that her baby was threatened and she took care of the threat... people should know better
By Sycosys 1134333558 Reply Spam [-2] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveDid you see the young moose there? a mother is something you dont ever mess with.. when people get killed by animals it is their own fault. common sense should steer you away from anything that outweighs you and has horns/ antlers/ teeth/ claws/ hoofs
