He looks like the common opossum you see in South USA, but his feet are black stockings!! I guess there is room for Opossum fur variations. Not all of the characteristics are set in stone. He's cute!!!

I've rehabbed opossums for over 21 years. When an opossum walks in circles they're usually blind. The dumb person making the comment about rabies should educate themselves. Opossum's body temp is much lower than other mammals,- you just don't see rabies in opossums. They also do NOT carry diseases like other mammals. Educate yourselves, you'll learn how wonderful these animals really are.

Half nothing, they are marsupials, related to the kangaroo and koala, which people find so cute. Some people here in America judge all living things on looks. Actually opossums are much more beautiful than the majority of two legged human haters. Relax and enjoy their cuteness.
