Trick shot contest.
This has to be a trick shot contest. Otherwise the first ball that cleared the nine pins would have triggered the pin-setter to clear the lane and set the remaining pin, which it didn't. Excellent shot!

  ...i see what he means when he says would be a spare but it only took him 1 turn to knock all of them down so it would be counted as a strike...would be spare if he knock those 9 down the thing came and sweped the others away then knocked the other down

  counts as one turn so therefore two balls, obviously two goes and therefore it's a spare :) not that any of this matters anyway because they're doing trick shots and not actually playing
